RX-7 clutch LSD-internals only-$250 shipped
So I bought this not quite realizing how a clutch type LSD behaves and it's not quite what I'm looking for.
It's out of an 1984-1986 model, and includes the diff itself, RX-7 stub axles, and clips. It was rebuilt with a shim to lock up at 65ft/lbs., which is stock. Without the shim it started slipping at 45ft/lbs., so I don't think it's that worn.
The spider gears were modified on a lathe so the axles actually lock in. If you're familiar with these early diffs, the axles will slip out without this modification, so no need to worry!
Instead of buying the clips and so forth, I bought used axles from the junk yard that included clips. I don't want to damage the axles by taking the clips off, so they're included!
I also have some more shims if you'd like more lock up that I'll include.
$300 shipped. It'll be early early January before it'd ship, due to shipping store closures and family obligations. Thought I'd get this thread posted for anyone that needs a Christmas present!
Thanks!

Ok, it's out, this is what you're getting:
Two RX-7 stub axles with RX-7 clips, the LSD itself with two bearings and ONE outer race.
the second bearing race, ring, pinion, housing, bushings, and kitchen sink will all have to be sourced separately.
I'll start PM'ing peeps in order of their PMs to me. Thanks!

Can this be used with Miata one piece axles? or are the splines different?

I don't see why it wouldn't work, as long as you used the RX-7 clips. These ones are usable, but slightly beat up. I'm not sure they would survive being removed and reinstalled on another axle.

If all others fall through let me know, this is the same setup I currently run in my fp car. I am building a new diff with gearing for 13" tires and don't want to separate the one the I use for 15's. Have cash in hand.
