Yes, it appears to be same height as stock. I have a Miata Roadster short shifter because I have a 6 speed & this one won't work but the bushings in this kit are even stouter than the Miata Roadster one & the Miata Roadster one is a pretty good kit. This one is outstanding. Wish I could've found a 6 speed version.

I'm tempted, but... is everything included pictured? MiataRoadster shows a whole bunch of bushings as part of their kit: http://www.miataroadster.net/brands/...structions.pdf I'm especially curious about the two pin bushings and riser bushing/gasket.

Everything included is pictured. Your referenced miata roadster shifter is for a six speed which has two pins. This is for a 5 speed & has a single pin. The pin bushing is already in the large ball of this kit. The riser plate has a nylon bushing & wave washer in it as pictured. Riser bushing is pictured & shift selector bushing is already on the shifter. The gasket is only included in the Miata Roadster kits that I'm aware of. You also have to use small shift boot from your current shifter or buy a new one. The largest difference between the two kits is the Miata Roadster one is $250 + shipping & this one is $80 shipped.

I'm planning on replacing my ripped lower and upper rubber boots anyway. Trying to understand if anything is needed to put this kit in besides what's pictured. Also trying to see if it would benefit a CSP car.
