Default greddy td04 replacement, I couldnt find one

My td04h 15g blew after many years of good service. Now when I went to place it, but I couldnt find any used on ebay or any cheap new ones. I figured If I was going to upgrade I might as well get a GT28RS / ball bearing turbo. Anyone got stuck with this problem?

Nick

Can you not just rebuild it?

well a few years go I sucked up a rock and that did a number on the fins. It still worked afterwords, but the spool up sucked. It needs a serious rebuild to be in top shape.

I'm thinking the rear seal when out because it dumped alot of oil down my down pipe. The oil was sprayed on my pistons causing a fire and melting #4. I'm kinda aggrivated my turbo blew my motor from oil!

I don't think anyone has found a good bolt in replacement for the GReddy. It's tough to buy a new one at the price of other great turbo replacements, and replacing the turbo with different one requires a new DP at the minimum, if not new oil/water lines too. There are no easy upgrade/swap options without having to replace a lot of other stuff too so at that point I think people just end up upgrading entirely.

another guy here ingested a bolt from inside the filter and got a new compressor wheel, still cheaper than a new turbo.

For a supposedly good rebuild, I hear Deadbolt Enterprises does good and they can ceramic coat and port the housings.

yup that was me (see avatar), i replaced the wheel before it would eventually destory its self. I had the work done by majestic turbo. I forget the exact amount but it was under 200. If I was you I would just start over with a t3 s60 or something and remove the problem of nothing working with the friggin downpipe. I also see the td04h pop up on honda tech since it was used too in one of greddy's other kits. They are like 150-200 at the most.
