Do explain how the Tec3 is so much better than the Megasquirt, which you have no experience with.

Oh why am I not surprised. You're a ******* idiot, and if anyone needs more proof, you think that 350whp is "the limit" on a 5-speed Miata tranny.
oooohhh nice cross-thread...

Subaru's aren't meant to be drag raced, they're meant for real racing, rally racing.

How do I have a "vested financial interest"? I don't get a cut, I don't get anything for selling or buying it. Maybe if where I work made our living selling those, and they were are key product, than yes, but it isn't even close. We sell them, but not very often. We do move alot of Haltech ECUs though. Of course, that's also a better ECU than MS, but that must be because I work where we sell them as well. I've already proved that MS isn't as good an ECU as the ones I have mentioned....I don't need to cross-thread, as I'm sure you have already that thread as well.

I already proved my point on the 5-spd. Go check the other thread.

I can't answer this one for you, I have heard it is a good ECU, but I have no personal experience or research to get into any details on it.

They also happen to be able to lay down some fairly impressive numbers at the drag strip with very few mods. Whats you're point?

I am talking to a guy about buying his 06 wrx
this will be my 3rd wrx (if deal goes through) and I cant wait. Love miata's, but there's something about subaru's that I will always love. I just hate it when people talk **** about them without any experience/proof/knowledge..

I keep reading you make these claims but I still don't see any proof.

Go look in the MS forum. How many people can get the EBC to work on them?

5-spd discussion got closed. Oh well, the counter-points people were giving at the end were pretty lame anyways.

Yeah, you're right. It's hard to use facts to argue against other people's opinions.

FACT: People seem to have a hard time getting the EBC to work on the MS.

FACT: It runs perfect on my AEM EMS.

OPINION: AEM EMS isn't worth the price.

FACT: People break 5-spds at sub-200whp.

FACT: People don't break 5-spds at 275+whp.

OPINION: 5-spds aren't good for much hp.

You are absolutely right, I don't have anything.
