so i have a few ?s about bov and mbc i bought a turbo xs boost controller on ebay for cheap when i hook it up what do i do with the actuator rod leave it where it is? and for the bov its a bosch and i want to VTA it where can i get a check valve that will work with it???

If you don't understand how an MBC will affect your air/fuel ratios, you need to sell those parts you just bought and just enjoy your car as is.

TurboBlue, the base Greddy kit is designed to work with the stock fuel system. You sig indicates you have no upgrades to your Greddy. Turning up the boost w/no additional fuel will blow your motor.

So, to put it plainly. YOU CANNOT TURN UP THE BOOST ON A STOCK GREDDY KIT! You've gotta get some more fuel in there, and you've gotta get the charge temps down. Fuel pump, injectors, IC/WI, timing device, etc... are some standard upgrades that will allow you to run more boost.

Then you need a way to monitor those changes. You need a wideband 02 sensor so you can determine exactly how much more fuel to ad as you turn the boost up... or better, you need an hour on a dyno once you've got all your new parts installed to get the most power out of your setup.

i dont plan on turning up the boost just oredered it cuz it was cheap and ive read on here you get better spool up i just wanna run 5.5 psi and i have a crappy narrowband gauge cant afford wideband yet!

i was just confused by ? i didnt remember saying i wanted to turn the boost up or anything just wondered what i do with the acuator rod if i wanna run 5.5 do i close it all the way down the back out the mbc or leave it where it is?

If you are already running 5.5 psi, just add the MBC to the signal line to the wastegate (double check the in/out) and tighten it so that it opens at 5.5psi. Using a hand pump is a great way to set the MBC without installing it but you can also drive the car with the MBC all the way out and then very carefully tighten it down until you hit slightly more than 5.5psi and back it off a hair. You could probably get away with a little more boost but don't do it without a wideband, please.

The wastegate actuator won't see any boost until the MBC opens at 5.5psi. This way the rod doesn't start moving before 5.5psi, slowing spool.

Ok dammit, I am in fact a crack *****. But don't get any ideas because I am booked for like the next year and a half.

And speaking of boost controllers, I didn't notice a difference until I upped the boost. Perhaps the GT28 wastegate is faster responding or something.
I did have a mbc stick once after storage for a winter and I spiked the boost and broke the shaft of the turbo. I'll post some picks of the exhaust fan when I get a chance.
