Default turbo 1.6 ??

I am really going for a turbo in my miata but I am not sure of what turbo can I put in ... I have in hand a t25 garrett turbo from an sr20det from my silvia , and the other i can see is the td05 ... I really don't know much about turbo so if some one could help me with the choice of my turbo, manifold and other stuff i need would be awsome!

I know some guys will hate me but I want the cheapest $$ setup , so ebay parts doesn't scare me xD. If you have any parts to sell that i would need , I am interessed !

OP, you have two options.

1. Use the search function on this forum to research which manifolds and downpipes work with which turbos. Rest assured that every single bit of info you need is contained within the pages of this forum. Nobody will help you find this information, because nobody is getting paid to do that, but if you search for the info, eventually you will find what you need. If you aren't willing to put in the time and effort yourself, nobody will donate their time to you.

2. Call a vendor and ask them to recommend a full setup. They will charge you for the convenience.

You are trying a third option, which is "make a forum thread asking people to help you for free". It may work on other forums, but I assure you, it has never worked here, and it never will.

In summary I'll quote sixshooter who summed it up amazingly a while ago

You'll get respect when you start showing respect. I'm sorry you don't know how forums work, but this is not a chat room. Everything is archived and there are even stickies at the top that will point you in the right direction to start.

Look, here's how this goes: You learn how to internet. You learn how to forum. Then you just do your research and learn everything you need to about turboing a miata, because it's all here. Then when you're at least up to speed enough to ask intelligent questions, we will be more than happy to help you.

This thread isn't getting deleted, it will hopefully serve as an example for future n00bs as what not to do and how not to do it.

BUT WAIT

There's still hope. Post up more info in your intro thread, post pictures of your car, get to know some of us, we'll get to know you, it's a community so you gotta join it, not just jump in and post up a shotgun-thread: "I'm new, tell me everything about turbo miata's"

I promise you this forum is really great when you play by the rules.

That's good

And yes, I did see your intro thread, thank you for that.

Trust me, this will get a lot easier for you with time. Read a few intro threads and you'll see why.

Then read a bunch of the build threads, it will be very educational for you. There is enough info on here for you to learn literally everything you need to know.

Your 1.6 is probably the easiest and cheapest version of this engine to turbocharge. Just use quality parts and good engine management.
