In related news, can someone please explain to me just what the **** is going on in SSM?
Why is Steve Hoelscher's AW11 running SSM? I thought that was a DP car? Why the **** is it so fast?
And where did Martin Valent find all that speed in the SW20? o_O
[edit]
Hold up i'm dumb. They're both running Valent's car.

That it?
And wtf, an autocross GT35R?!?
EDIT: No, that's not it on a re-read. He's talking about Carter Thompson being competition. Still, autocross GT35R...

Working off a broken memory: 13B-REW (street ported IIRC) with a motorsports twin scroll GT3X variation that last time I talked to him with a full 4" exhaust. His new setup makes more power on low boost than he did on high boost last year. The Chadwick/Johns RX7 is sporting some new hardware this year and a lot more power from talking to Brian. Both these cars live less than 20mins from me (hence why I don't run SSM).

That sounds about right. He was still dealing with a fueling issue the last time I talked to him. He had only dynoed on wastegate pressure and they had to do multiple pulls because he couldn't believe that it made more HP w/ less pressure. The Chadwick/Johns RX7 is now running a twin scroll EFR (size eludes me) and a electric water pump to save weight.

How twitchy is your car now? If its setup currently to be a real handful in slalom and high speed entry corners there's almost half a second to be gained in SP legal aero from the stability at high speed. No idea on what it does time wise to a car that's already balanced. But SP aero on a car that isnt twitchy at on turn in without the aero will likely not want to turn in even if the aero is front biased.

Makes you even faster! Proper front aero and a wing were magical this year. Although I make more power then the CSP guys. You just have to go thru and make sure everything is still balanced after fiddling with aero. I'm pretty sure my car could use a little more spring now that I've gotten aero.

Basically, trying to be quick by putting the least amount of money possible, in mods that will improve my times.
Thanks,

Hi Leafy, thanks for the reply. The car is really not too bad in the slaloms, but I do find it quite twitchy in high speed sweepers, especially in high speed ''Esses''. I have yet to race on the current setup with proper tires (I don't run slicks, in our local races, we have an RT index for all classes, so street tires are not penalized), but I do plan to run 225 rs3 or Rivals next summer. I definitly rely on momentum, since I run a 1995 1.8bp motors, with standard bolts on.
Basically, trying to be quick by putting the least amount of money possible, in mods that will improve my times.
Thanks,
Ben

Ok dudes, do I keep ax6 on the back of my str car or do I switch to hp+? Do the ax6s have more bite than the hp+?
I've noticed the Carbotechs have chewed thru my rotor faster than the Hawks ever did and their dust pitted my wheels a lot worse than hawk too :(.
