Doing some winter maintenance I finally got around to doing a compression test.

Cyl 1 192 psi
Cyl 2 191 psi
Cyl 3 193 psi
Cyl 4 191 psi

I also decided to actually check the valve lash. I trusted the shop that put the head together to check this out. Well this is what I get for doing that. I have also added the corresponding clearance to get to the low end of the factory spec.

Intake Exhaust
Cyl 1 - 1 .005 +.002 .014 -.003
Cyl 1 - 2 .006 +.001 .013 -.001

Cyl 2 - 1 .008 -.001 .015 -.004
Cyl 2 - 2 .010 -.003 .015 -.004

Cyl 3 - 1 .011 -.004 .010 +.001
Cyl 3 - 2 .010 -.003 .010 +.001

Cyl 4 - 1 .008 -.001 .017 -.006
Cyl 4 - 2 .010 -.003 .015 -.004

So I guess I'm going to get some practice at changing these shims. At this point I am thinking it might be easier just to go ahead and take the cams out. I can install my adjustable cam gears at the same time.

Is it possible to change the shims without taking out the cams?

Just had to say nice work on the greyhound. We have adoptees #4 and #5 living with us now.

Very nice work on the car. Those pistons look like they mean business.

Watch it in 1080p

This is a RaceKeeper video / data display from the Dixie National tour this past weekend.

The car is running well. Going back to the 4.10's for this event looks like it was a bad choice. The 3.909's would have been the best choice for this course.

All in all the car is running well. I had a wheel speed sensor die at the event so we lost ABS and traction control...so that made the rest of the event "fun"

And here is the Go Pro Vid

I like that, first comes the blower sound then the exhaust takes over. It's a symphony

Zip ties pass tech? And what $300 battery. That thing better weigh less than 2.5 pounds or you over paid.

I feel like I'm talking to Sheldon Cooper.

No Zip Ties wont pass tech

EVO, 500CCA

It's less than 3lbs according to my scales....looks like retailvit is $270

Not Mathematically possible to have over paid.

I know the battery I saw was less than 2.5 pounds for sure! And I believe this one is less, CRAZY! I look forward to your impressions of my EFR setup.
