Yep, and if my above post wasn't clear on the point I was trying to make, the ONLY thick radiator people should be considering is the TSE rad.

I don't have an answer on that yet.. we'll be selling their rotrex kits for sure (whenever they eventually come to market) which that radiator was designed for originally.

My fat radiator works great otherwise and has nearly killed all fan cycles at my daily drive-thru lunch break. Stock radiator would cycle after 5 minutes or so with increasing frequency thereafter, this one holds out for at least twice as long, long enough I don't worry about it any longer.

I don't think allofit guys are the only ones to benefit from double the radiator coolant capacity. For $130 for the cheap ebay crap, seems pretty perfect for a street car to me.

A big thick core is the way it's been done for a long time, it certainly works better than a stock radiator.

That said, $130 Sounds great unless the "cheap ebay crap" as you put it springs any kind of issue... as soon as you have to buy a replacement you've paid more than a CSF, which has one of the best and hassle-free warranty policies in the business.

To be fair the ebay radiators have one of the best track records of any ebay products. I have 15+ track days on mine.

That being said, I just realized how much time I have on it and it makes me realize I should replace it lol.

Sounds a little like the winner of the special olympics but yes, they're decent for an ebay product... I even put a 55mm through hell in the v-mount without major issues. However, I've also seen and heard accounts of them arriving warped, leaking etc.

Winner of the special Olympics still gets a gold medal...

CSF standard vs crossflow. How much better is the crossflow?

Jackson Racing Rotrex kit is not happening. Emilio said in 2014 it would be out long before TSE turbo kit. Low to no priority for Jackson Racing............the truth hurts.

Well, I know from CSF that those Miata radiators were built and delivered (http://csfrace.com/csf-announces-the-o-series/) -- so at this point it is inventory for JR, hopefully the radiators don't just sit there gathering dust. JR is actively marketing a similar BRZ/FR-S product (FR-S/BRZ Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler | Jackson Racing).

It does look like JRs focus has shifted away from the NA/NB Miata.

Cool, can't wait to see it. Would like to see how it stacks up to the new TDR Rotrex system. The radiator/oil cooler is innovative. Will the intercooler be innovative with shrouds or just the around through the frame?

It will be very difficult to beat the TDR system. The kits are extremely well planned, executed, and organized. I am pretty sure no other company will beat the thoroughness of the instructions.

Right, Jackson Racing better raise the bar or just quit.

i have been trying to get one of these radiators since I first heard about them on the Slip Angle podcast. But is seems Jackson racing can't seem to get them released. They keep telling me that they are just waiting on a few parts. I wish they would just let CSF sell the radiator, and let the customers come up with the oil connection system. I am getting tired of waiting.

I contacted Ron Davis. He makes these too, mostly for Corvettes. The Ron Davis radiator in my track car has done a fine job for nearly a decade (purchased by PO). Ron said that a combo package for the NA/NB Miata would end up being about 1" deeper, which would be perfect for us since we usually have to seal that space below the radiator.

I asked him about pricing for a group buy, we'll see what he says.

Crossflow possibilities?

The integrated radiator seems like a good idea. Also a good idea for a new thread.

I apologize in advance for not reading this entire thread.

Has anyone in here posted anything about (or perhaps a solution) flappers on radiator shrouds?
It seems i'm only overheating on the highway after long 5th gear pulls back to back. Even cruising down the highway at 70mph doesn't allow the car to cool very well. (this is in 90+* heat)

Also since i've already pissed everyone off with that dumb question. What's the standard procedure for wiring both fans together? Can the relay for the driver side fan handle the load of two high amperage fans?

Meh. Turbo cars are routinely running with sub-par radiator flow due to the intercooler sitting in front of it. Adding load to an already highly taxed cooling system by asking it to accept heat from the oil as well seems like a poor idea to me. By the time you put enough oil heat into the coolant to make a substantial dent in the oil temps, the radiator is overtaxed. A dedicated cooler is the correct way to do it.

A dedicated cooler that probably either adds resistance through the radiator or directly blocks the radiator airflow?

I think it's a fantastic idea, should be a hundred times more efficient and it won't ever be capable of over cooling the oil, pre-heats it in fact.

Erat, if you overheat doing 70 you need to do some serious ducting on the front end. I also tied my stock AC fan into the stock main fan relay with no ill-effect, yet.

I am not a fan of the integrated radiator idea actually. Just trying to get a separate thread started for it and being polite.

I'm not sure how much more ducting i can do. Everything that goes into the "mouth" ends up going through the IC, condenser, then radiator. I've gone through great lengths to make sure there is very minimal leakage. Perhaps ducting in air from other areas, i kind of want to try and avoid cutting holes in my bumper.
I have these results with the AC turned off (for obvious reasons). I'll see if teeing the fans together has any effects on it.
