Default The sway bar thread has me thinking of an upgrade.

So currently my car sits on 15x8, 205/50 R888s with FM sways and the classic Vmaxx (yes, poverty coil overs buy I wanted to get the car on track a few times last vs waiting longer).

The Vmaxx are something like 391/256, or softer than whiskey dick.

I won't have money for XIDA's until this winter, so I was thinking of going ahead and grabbing Emilio's sway setup for the car, in an effort to help tame the horrific body roll the car has now.

Good idea, or just keep dealing with it until I can afford the sways/XIDAs at the same time?

About the best pic I have of the body roll, coming out of the 2 at Hallett (cw)

I have 2 NA Miatas, one with a 22mm front bar and the other has the RB race 1.25 bar. Definitely recommend the hugemongous front bar.

Hoping for a bit more feedback, but I guess I should just go ahead and do it.

AutoX set up works great for the street too. Big bar (1.125 to 1.25" hollow) in front, nothing in back.

More of what I'm wondering if those big rates on the front bar are going to interfere with the very low rates on the springs.

I put on the 1 1/8" RB hollow with 15 X 9s w/RS3s and left the stock rear bar and the stock shocks/springs and it was amazing on track. Of course once i added the rest of Emilio's goodeies it got much better (including MSM rear bar)

Get the front bar with the brace kit!

You will be pleasantly surprised. You will likely be able to find a deal on a used 7/8" or 1.125" bar, as folks like me upgraded :-)

I have an MSM front bar I'd sell you, but I'd recommend the 1 1/8" hollow RB bar if your gonna get serious

How much for the MSM bar? Does it come with everything needed to bolt onto a 90?

I already have Flyin' Miata sways on the car.

I'm curious about using the 949 setup with the soft springs on the VMaxx.

i just went from a FM front and oem 94 rear bar to a rb hollow and msm rear bar with my xida 700f 400r and the car feels a lot more happy. seems to have eliminated the slight under steer i had.

Try disconnecting the rear bar.
