Thread moving
I'm debating whether or not to move older threads into this section. I know we have a lot of really good build threads that would fit in great here, but I don't want to 'rewire' mt.net completely. I'm thinking mainly of ctdrftna's, sav's, rharris', thesnowboarder's, spookyfish's, etc. There are also a few non-build threads that have some good information in them for those of you looking to build a dedicated track car or perhaps just improve your daily driven track car.
So post your ideas here, this place seems to be getting some good information on its own, and I could let that continue on its own, or bring in some older stuff from else where.
I'm not a **** and am open to your opinions, if I like them.

I'm only doing it for the pay.
I just realized I forgot some of my NW buddies, JayL and SBK's build threads aren't bad either. I realize Jason's is drag/street, but it's still ******* fast. SBK's is track only though, right? Really shows what welding skills and a DIY attitude can accomplish too.

That's my concern, I only find them because I know what to search for. If we move them, Jonnie Newb would only have to click on the race section. Even with adding threads it should still stay small enough to easily find stuff. Maybe I'll just move a couple major ones and see if anyone gets pissed or even notices, and go from there.

All this is pointless anyways since I only have mod privileges in this section, so I can only move race prep threads...to the race prep section. If Braineack stopped being lazy *ahem* and changed some of those privileges, I could.

Maybe instead of moving the threads, we could have a sticky post/thread akin to the "Super Important Megasquirt Threads" thread that contains a nice consolidated list of links to the good track build threads, and leave them in their original locations. I'd think that would be simpler. (?)
If you do end up moving threads, will that affect my notifications? I'm subscribed to a few of the build threads and want to stay abreast of any updates.

If they are build threads they should be in the 'build' section. If they benefit other sections they should be linked to, not moved. Who's to say the average miata driver won't find those threads just as helpful as the race guys.

A "useful threads" thread with a bunch of links is a great idea, hadn't thought of that. Cspence, I have no idea if it'll affect your subscriptions, which would be good to know before I do anything.
The epic stud thread, although mostly race related, is still very useful for the daily driven crowd.
I'll start compiling a list of build threads, post or pm me any links to any obscure ones you can think of, I know most of the major ones.
