Default Did I get a good deal?

Bought my first Miata last week and I love it!!
Did I get a good deal.

Mazda : MX-5 Miata : eBay Motors (item 220549041287 end time Feb-06-10 20:06:36 PST)

Had a Mustang with a 347 and Vortech on it 550whp on 93*

I was planning a V8 swap but the more I look into a built turbo
engine the more I lean that way.

I am sure this is a weak point you are trying to point out. If a I do decide
to build the Miata 4cyl Turbo/Supercharger a 1.8l would be used..

Yeah it is pretty dirty, but the body is clean and so is the engine bay.
I plan to delete the carpet and replace the seats with race units. The
rest cleaned up real nice with a little elbow grease.

I looked at a few cars local that were in worse shape and the people
wanted more..$$..

Well seeing that it has odometer problems, and has been in accidents, I'm not sure. I would have paid a little less if I were you.

For a car you plan on 1.8L swapping anyways, with an un-straight body and shoddy interior you probably payed a little much, but that is what the car is worth as-is.

Just saying for what you wanna do you would have been better off with an $800 shell, and buying some black carpet/interior and building your 1.8L to swap in.

Oh well, work on what you have is what I say.

You will hate your life with no carpet. Get new carpet and profit. Do some research on the miata short nose crank, and then turbo the motor you got. Lots of 1.6 support.

unless you are wanting to slowly build your car up i would go v8 if u have the budget. i like the lsx swaps 300ftlb torque and 300 hp with a ls1. or you could go ls2 or3 and get more power. thats if u have the budget and time.
