I need input! If I'm going to make one miata specific, I want to k ow what the general consensus is. You know? Mounting location, angle, push or puller. Lol I'm too indecisive. I'm almost peaning towards someone else's idea and mounting it in the passanger side of the tranny tunnel and flip it to a pusher for awesome palming action.

As far as mounting on the tranny side and pushing it.......don't. That is how mine is mounted and I hate it. Pushing it just does not feel natural, and with it flush against the tunnel does not make it the optimal reach for me either. If you don't mind losing a little passenger leg room, mount it at an angle facing you. Put on top of the tunnel and weld or make a bracket to hold it on the passenger side at an angle. There are a few guys in the drift thread on CR that can post their setups so maybe you can understand better.

I would strongly suggest determining your actual goals before you start buying parts and making modifications to your car. There is no such thing as a "one size fits all" racecar. If you plan set up your car for drifting, you will suck at road racing. If you build your car for road racing, you will suck at drifting. It's not realistic to expect a car to grip well, and slide easily.
Too often kids throw away thousands that could have been put towards a real beast of a car because they keep changing their goals.
Define what you want to do with the car, then start modifying to suit.

Im sorry all, I didnt realize this was my e brake thread and not my build thread lol. To fill in a couple gaps. I have a 94 with a 2003 vvt swap. engine, harness, and ecu. swapped in the 6 speed, with some brosport coils and my downfall was the poor choice in wheels which are xxr 522 15x8 0 offset. my car is also on a diet...

1. how is my car heavier than it was when it was stock? again maybe go look at the build thread. i have a few pictures im sure you would love to see.
2. like i said at the time i was working out at said location so the car would have been daily driven, i dont have the money nor the patients to buy a daily driver and before someone spouts out "You cant daily a track car" or vice versa i understand but i continue to grind my teeth in vein hahahahaha. also yes i will be tracking this car at im sure a couple autox events and a couple drift and drags but at the moment firebird raceway (local track) is closed and im to broke to drive to tuscan to get my track time
