Default PBR ULT/Axxis Ultimate pads stock

Hi guys,

Does any place have axxis ultimate 1.8 front pads in stock?

I'm sick of Hawk HP+ squeal. My right arm is tired from using the handbrake to stop because that's the only way I can stop quietly. I used Axxis Ultimate before and they were about a million times better, in comparison (the only thing HP+ has on them is sparks under heavy braking, but it's just ******* dust burning).

Problem is, every single place is out of stock on Ultimates front pads in 1.8 size. I'll probably buy like 3 sets if any shop has stock.

I hope this doesn't violate forums rules, but Nopi has them in stock. I am not affiliated with them in anyway, just know because I bought a set long ago as street pads on my Evo.

I found Nopi but I wonder if they are actually in stock. I'll give them a call, I guess.

Brain, those are Deluxe pads, not ULTs. ULTs are here - http://www.importrp.com/product.php?...&cat=37&page=1
Problem is, importrp doesn't show if it's in or out of stock. They just send you an email after you order

Are these a track worthy pad? They've been great on the street and seem like they would be great for autox but, not sure how they would take the heat. Good enough for a backup at a track event?

Yea for street and autocross they're good but on track, I wouldn't be sure. Depends on the size of the track I guess

stock miata not going faster than 80mph, sure--but still iffy.

boosted miata hitting 140mph, if you want to die.

Yeah these are awesome street pads. I was planning on running these and swapping out for track days whenever I do those.

I haven't been actively looking for these in stock because A) not driving the turbo car in winter B) out of funds

Strange, I'm not seeing the PBR brake pads listed on the PBR website anymore. You used to be able to see the pad data on their site.

I haven't been looking. I'm driving my $500 bone stock 1.6 for now. **** the other car, it's winter

But last I've checked, rears are in stock while fronts are out of stock everywhere. In both 1.6 and 1.8 sizes.

I don't think their site tracks stock.
I tried to order from them in September and this was what I got:
Sales/Support - Import Replacement Parts
September 1

Hi Leonid,

Thank you for your order for the PBR/Axxis Ultimate (ULT) FRONT Brake Pad Set. Unfortunately this set of brake pads is out of stock right now. We are not expecting to get any more in for another 1-2 months either unfortunately. Would you be interested in a different brake pad set instead? We should have some of the other PBR/Axxis compounds in-stock, like the Metal Master (XBG) and Deluxe Advanced. We also carry popular brands like EBC and Hawk as well.

We can also leave it on order for you if you think you can wait. I don't think anyone in the U.S. will have these in-stock either as we've already exhausted our backup sources in trying to locate them as well. If you need to just cancel the order we can do that too. Please advise.

Thanks,
Mike

Glad I got mine when I did. I've driven on them for a day and they're so much better than my old hawk HPS. Which would be a given obviously, but these are really good pads. Goodluck to whoever finds them
