Default Zero Pedal Pressure, pressure plate?

So this morning I got in my miata to go to work. When I pressed in the clutch pedal to start the car. I heard a loud metal TING noise and right after that my clutch pedal turned to jelly. Sounded like something under high tension let loose.

I'm still able to engage the transmission and drive around. I had my girlfriend push in the clutch pedal so I could watch the slave and it moves just fine.

I feel I need to be extra careful, shifting now only takes a small flick of the foot & wrist.

The Master & Slave are new, clutch is idk how hold.. Might be the original.

Pressure Plate?

I also have a FMlvl 2 happy meal on the way... guess the trans got excited for new parts

If the master/slave are new and there's not fluid pouring from either of them, it's an issue inside the bellhousing.

Can you move the clutch fork by hand? can you pull the clutch fork out of the housing? Seen a couple broken clutch forks and broke pivot ***** showing up on the forum recently.

fork, pivot, or PP spring.

none of which require less than a trans coming out and none of which are terribly expensive or hard to fix.

Yes sir, I was hoping it would last a bit longer before my new clutch&flywheel arrive.

My first guess is the spring, due to the way the loud tension bind sounded when it released.

Thanks for the replies, will post pics of new part being installed
