Default 225s on 15x6.5 rota Heliums?

I am looking at buying a set of Bfgoodrich g-force rivals on 225/45-15. On the tire rack website it says they fit 7-8.5" wide wheels. Has anyone shoehorned them into 6.5" wide wheels?

225s look ridiculous on 7" wheels. They'll go on, but a 205 will be faster.

I run the 205 Rivals on my 8" wheels and they look meaty. 225 on 6.5 ... might as well use yoga ***** for tires. The 205 or even a 195 will be a much better option.

They will be comfy.

But I don't think that's what you're going for lol.

205 is better for you

205 fills a 6.5 and then some. 225 would be weird.

Haha ok. I think I'll just sell my wheels then and get 15x95

Yes! 225 on 9's are baller.

You haven't any infos in your personal infos section, so we don't know which version miata you have. I will assume NA. In which case - some fender rolling will be required for 225's on 9's. IIRC.

Edit: First prop! given for the seemingly uncommon ability to listen to reasonable advice

The car used to have 15x9s but the post owner kept them and sold it with the 6.5" wide wheels. I'm always open to good advice, that's why I'm in this forum. I'll update my details it's a 1990 rear fenders have already been rolled
