Planning to upgrade to 15x9 6ULs with 225/45 RS3
Hi
I currently have 15x8 6UL's with 225/45/15 hankook rs2 on my turbo miata. Thinking about upgrading to 15x9 6UL with 225/45/15 hanhook rs3. How much better will it be on the 15x9? Will the 15x9 rub alot, and do i have to roll the fenders or is that not really needed?
For suspension i have Koni yellows with stock springs. Also have FM front and rear sway bars. I am planning to get Ground controls to replace the stock springs. Can the GC 550/350 work with koni yellows? or are those rates too high for the koni yellows? I will be doing mostly 90% street daily driving and sometime later track and autocross. What springs would be good for me?
Thanks

15x9 is proven faster on track.
Fitment completely depends on the year of your chassis. No fender clearance issue with NB. May rub springs at full lock, may not--2.5" springs generally ok.
NA, I don't know. I would expect to roll the fenders.

so 100% we must roll it? Im jus worried after rolling and its not done well and the paint starts cracking on the fender. The paint job on my car was not done properly by the previous owner. The car was mariner blue, then they painted titanium grey ontop. So if the paint chips u will see mariner blue underneath. Never had experience with fender rolling, if its done properly the paint shouldnt crack? I do really like the performance and looks of the 15x9 6ul though. thanks

here are some pics of my car
Savington, thanks for the info. Looks like ill have to find a good shop to roll my fenders. I plan to drive my miata forever and never sell it, so im thinking about the XIDA CS. Its a bit pricey for me at the moment, so i think i should just try out Ground controls with my Koni yellows first. I can always upgrade to xida in the future. For Koni yellow shocks, what are good spring rates for the ground controls? Dont plan to get koni race or revalve them, because i want to save the money and maybe in a year get Xidas. I do 95% street driving and will tryout track and autocross later on next year. Thanks
