Default 205/50/16 BFG G-Force comps

Happy hollidays all,
I am looking for some replacement for my 205/40/16 I have right now. Konig Britelite 16x7 40mm offset

Anyway I have found the gforce comp2 for pretty cheap.

The questions is will they fit:
205/50/16 fit 24.1 diam and 8.3 wide
Or should I stick with 205/45/16 23.2 diam and 8 wide.

Thoughts:
How bad with the increased height be for performance?

More info below if you care to read:
I would like a tire that will be good for daily driving and spirited driving street driving. Will only see rain when I get caught out in it. I also don't want to be completely let down on the autocross/track when and if I try that. No need for it to be the best there just not unsafe.
(I will probably buy 15 inch rims and tires if I do much of those things).

Most of the times in searchs here that reference this size it's an nb I know the na has less room.

Also the current tires measure 22 going all the way to 24 seems like alot. I spin first like crazy anyway I guess.

Comp2 is a really good DD tire. A bit loud with the tread pattern.

If I were you, I'd look into the Konig Dial-In special at Discount Tire and move to 15s.

I will probably buy 15s when I get ready to autocross or track in spring but 350 shipped for tires to fit rims I already have is tempting.

Comp2 is a good tire and one of the few available in the odd 205/45-16 size the NB alloys use. I'll be running them as my next set of dailys. I would do the 205/45 over the 205/50.
