Anyone know if there is any posibilities to get tires with theese dimensions? Been searching but it looks like i have to find something elce.

dunlop makes a 265/40-17 in their star specs....I hope you're not planning to put these on a NA or NB miata though... you'd need at least a 17x9.5 rim...and good luck finding a wheel like that with a 4 lug pattern

SSR Proffesor makes up to 17X12,5

can´t use 265/40, it needs to be 265/35 to be within the legal 5% circumference of oem size. Norwegian ****.

It´s going on an NB. Doing some research about wheels/tires and the Autokonexion wide body kit.

Ok well I bet they're not 13 lbs a piece.....how about a 15x10 with 275's? lighter, wider, and no complications with tire size?

I have been thinking about the 275 hoosiers, but they are not that great on ordernary road hehe. looking for some tires to use on normal road. And not that conserned about the weight. Have enough horsepowers to get the car going

well why do you give a **** about OEM size if you're not going to racing in some specific class?

will probably have to do that. But with legal size there is one reason less for the coppers to stop me But it looks like it is almost impossible to get hold of tires this size so I´ll probably have to use some narrower tires.

AFAIK there is no such thing as a 265/35-17 tire. You'd be better off with a 245/35-17 Toyo R1R. That's about as wide as you can go on a 17" wheel and keep the proper rolling diameter. Trust me, I've looked into this for years. There are plenty of 17x8 wheels that don't weigh a ton, but be prepared to pay out the *** or be lucky. For example, you can get two pair of Exige Sport/Elise Sport (LSS) rear wheels...17x8.5 +30 and wigh like 14lb ea....but good luck finding 4 rear wheels for sale in one place. Used sets (staggered 17 & 16) go for $1k+ all day long here. This is something I've wanted to do.

Nice rims Wil probably have to go for the Tyoy´s and a set of trackday wheels. Don´t think I have the patient to search for a year or so for big tires.

Black wheels aren't mine...I have the SSRs in my sigpic. The R1R is a livable street tire...excellent wet traction, but kinda short life since they are a 140 treadwear tire.

spd- I don't think it's about wheel diameter, but tire diameter. Going 1" larger in diameter is pushing it in Miata wheel wells. The average 15" tire is ~22.5" diameter, speaking from experience, a 24.5" tire is visably much larger (and has fitment issues). Running a 24" diameter is about as large as I would ever go. To keep 17" diameter issues to a minimum you have 205/45, 215/40, 225/35, 225/40 and 245/35 tire sizes...go larger and problems arise. Remember that a 215/40 from one manufacturer will have a different diameter compared to a 215/40 from another manufacturer by as much as .2-.3", which is a lot for a tire.

I knew he was referring to tire size and not rim size but when you're driving along a 1-2" increase would not be as noticable.
