this vid is from session 7 (3rd session of sunday) during a nasa club racing event @ texas world speedway. i had elec. trouble all weekend from old brittle wiring, this was the first session of the weekend that i was able to run a couple uninterrupted laps. anyways, the main thing about the vid is what i used to make it. this is one of those $10 shipped spy cams from ebay. looks like a car alarm transmitter. i actually paid $20 for mine so that i was gauranteed to get a version 3. apparently there's 7 versions, all look alike, but version 3 has the best video and sound of them all. i wish you could see what the video looks like before uploading to youtube because it looks great and sounds great too. waaay better sound than my sony camcorder or my gopro. and for $20, you can't beat it. you could buy 2 or 3 of them and get all sorts of cam views/angles. here it is:

BTW, I went through their direct website and got the camera and a 4GB memory card for $30 shipped.

it's all right here in the holy grail of keychain spycamdom. this guy breaks it all down to the molecular level. there isn't any info you could possibly add regarding these cameras. also, you'll see pics there, but they all (7 versions) are identical. it's the processor that's different. the different versions have time/date stamps in diff. corners of the screen and in diff. colors. i ordered mine thru rc bob (bob skinner) from a rc airplane forum. he gets nothing but version 3's and sells out of batches of 45-50 in 2-3 days.

oops, oh yeah, i mounted mine using a manfroto clamp that i used to use for my old sony camcorder. i just clamped it to my roll bar and velcro'd the camera to the clamp. it's so light you can put it anywhere and with 3m tape or good velcro it won't go anywhere

no such thing as "the source". that's just some company that orders them like rc bob does. plus, what version is that? it only shows up 4gb cards to order with it, i think that means it can be certain versions. mine, version 3, can use up to a 8GB sd card.

 

Good point... they all come over in a big box from China anyhow. The website calls it the Extreme Sports Edition, but I clicked over from an eBay ad for the Version 3. I guess we'll see what I get...
