Default I just ordered my Adaptronics, any tips?

here. I just sent travis my $ for my 96 PNP Adaptronics.

I don't have a lot of posts here because I am not a turbo guy, but I am guessing as I go through this process that will change.

I have a 96 miata with a 01 VVT motor. it is setup for CSP class SCCA racing. for power it is a bone stock 01 motor with mahura IRTB's, RB header, RB TP, and RB exhaust, OBX Al pulley, Fidanza Al 1.6 Flywheel and Spec stg 3 clutch.

Before I was running a Freedom ECU but controling VVT with a switch. basically just on/off (full retard/full advance) functionallity based on RPM.

I am going with the Adaptronics for fully continous VVT control primarily, but I am excited about a lot of the other cool features it has too.

So any tips to help me ease into this process from you guys that have been running the adaptronics for a while? any VVT setup tips?

Thanks in advance,
Eric

This is where all the VVT fun is happening. The tuning part is easy once you get everything sorted out.

Oh, and the only one who has been running theirs for a while is Travis. The rest of us just got them within the last couple of months. I think only 4(?) of us are actually up and running.

There are alot, I've sold 21 units now, and I think a majority of them have been installed. I know there are a couple of people who are doing professional installations or have been waiting, but there are more then just 7 running. I put the number more at 15 or so. 1 Suzuki GT 13b engine too just for good measure.

Before we had some problems with setting up the tuning files correctly I told people it was plug in, splice MAP in, set to autotune and drive. Now its back that way since a bunch of guys have chipped in and solved the problems with the original tuning files. So you shouldn't need to do a whole lot, you still have some learning curve on using ALL the functions but to get it started the installation should take you about an hour. Then to drive, it will take you maybe another hour of messing with the tuning. After that you should be ready to go pickup some milk at very least.

Don't forget me! Installing this weekend with my BEGi S1 kit, ground controls, shocks, sways, HIDs, and maybe even clay+wax the car!

Cheers,
Prospero
