I really want to avoid mounting a wideband and a boost gauge in the cockpit if possible. I want the car to look like a typical boring Miata to your average criminal so he'll go break into the Honda Civic with pillar gauges three cars down instead.

To me this means no gauges out of the ordinary.

Is it possible to output an overboost condition or maybe a too lean condition to light an LED?

 

What about black guages installed somewhere discreet?

 

wouldn't you rather know you're ABOUT to overboost or run lean so you can prevent it?

i have my gauges in the center area above the radio. nobody looks twice.
