Why do you doubt the temp readings? Because mine are so high? remember 30 minutes on the motorway with a few WOT moments are VERY different to sessions on track. (I doubt on the motorway you were WOT 1st to 4th redline in every gear then slam on the brakes down to 2nd, then back to 4th redline WOT rinse repeat for 20 minutes )
MAT will be read extremely regularly by the ECU, it's a key parameter in working out the fuelling.
