Default newbie questions

So, I accidently opened the adaptronic forum today and came across the MS vs Adaptronic thread which convinced me that I need one (Adaptronic that is). I never even new there was a PnP Adaptronic until now. Wish I'd known about it before I started building the MS .
I have a love - hate relationship with my MS and right now I'm soooo in the hate fase. I'm fed up with all the software settings of the MS. After looking for information in countless manuals, forums and websites, I'm done with it.
I want something that I can plug in and pretty much drive away.
So, this thing is supposed to be Pnp, meaning shove it in there, start, drive and finetune?
Are there maps for RX8 380cc injectors on a '99?
This unit replaces the stock ecu, right? I saw a couple of posts wich suggest they run parallel? Why would you do so?

come to the light.

i ditched the ms project and now have this ecu running in parallel.

this is very much a plug and play system. at the moment i can switch between the stock and parallel setup with just 4 plugs.

you will need to tune it at idle, but the features within it allow you to let the ecu tune its self while you drive. i have not found any rx8 380 injector maps, but i am sure that TravisR will help you out with scaling up a stock injector map.

good luck,
Jared
