Rich spike after WOT

Here’s my problem:

As you see every time I let on the gas AFR goes pig rich. To around 9-10:1 and then it takes half second when it goes to full lean as it should.

That extra fuel is messing up my LC-1 almost every time. I have to startup whole car just to get my LC-1 reading right again :vash:

Is there way to solve this?

Here's my .ecu file

Braineack 07-25-2011 08:13 AM

log looks normal to me.

muoto 07-25-2011 08:26 AM

So it’s just my shitty LC-1 that can’t handle the extra fuel :td: ...I hate my LC-1. I hate it so much...

Who did your predicted map settings? Also is the big rich dip present on all rpms/throttle smash %s?

If so you can try adding 5 or 10 to the asynch gain %

Your LC 1 is getting maxed out on the lower limit. i believe 9.4afr is that lower limit.

Too much fuel will cause the car to buckle up when you shift.

What firmware version are you running on the LC-1? I had that issue with 1.1a, downgraded to 1.00a and it's been working well so far (knocks on wood).

pretty much yeah. I did all of the settings

didn't help.

I also downgraded to 1.00a and well it’s seems to work better but it still lock down every time I hit rich cells (=AFR gets lover than 10:1)

How did you do the predicted map settings? That matters a lot. I was having the same issue, currently my settings seem to be good enough to when i smash on the throttle the a/f doesnt get bellow 11.5 even on big stomps. I find it easier to have a passenger look at the boost gauge. Simply get the feel of "15%" and give it a stomp. Then get a feel of 50% and then same thing looking at the boost gauge. At 100% throttle you should be at your max kpa your wastegate is set at however this is the initial stomp so due to turbo lag you're not going to be up there at full boost yet. Thats the reason why you're getting rich. The adaptronic manual tells u to get the rpm to where it needs to be and hold the throttle at that % and then find the kpa. Not really right as at that point the turbo is spooled and steady. You want to find the kpa the instant you stomp on the gas with the lag taken into account.

Also you want to lower your 0% at +4k to 25kpa or so, otherwise you'll get a rich spike after letting go of the gas. In reality 6k at 0% is impossible so you'll only hit that cell when you let go of the gas.
Another thing i noticed is you are pushing 2 psi at 1k rpm the instant you stomp on the throttle. Doesnt seem right. Again your predicted map doesnt seem to have the lag in it as the reason for your issues.

I’m only getting rich spikes when I let go the gas

triple88a 08-09-2011 07:02 PM

Err it said let on. My bad. Try the right kpa at 0% and see how it goes.

I gave up on LC-1 and ordered new MTX-L. If that is going to acting like POS LC-1 I’m never gonna touch Innovate products again.

rich spikes when you lift happen...

muoto 09-06-2011 10:11 AM

I just notice that in "predicted map table" I had 40kPa in TPS 0% line... I set it to 0kPa. ..let's see how it works....

You want 1 and 2k rpm at the right kpa with the car at rest, at 4k u want 17kpa and at 6k and 8k u want 0s. Make sure your fuel map at 4500-8k rpm 0kpa is 0 for fuel.

You can also try setting the fuel cut on lift off at 0ms and see if u got the spike again.

Faeflora 09-06-2011 07:11 PM

Looks like a happy place. Extra fuel on lift makes fireballs and also pistons like it.

Yeah but it sucks unless the spark is pulled 50 degrees.
