EMS4 Idle hunts nonstop
For about 100 miles I had no issues with idle. I swapped my battery as old one was not holding a charge. I have now gone back to idling at 1100 to 1400 for 10 seconds or so then it surges up to 2000-2300 for a few seconds then back down. It seems to go lean when it goes up to higher rpm. I reloaded a couple of older calibrations with worse results and went back to the last known good calibration. I had it smoked tested with no vac leaks when first having idle issues 3 months back and had the base idle set. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Still no real resolution. I am definitely getting some noise from the TPS. Was going to try and replace the straight wires with shielded to see if that makes a difference with TPS. Does anyone know of any other fixes that are worth trying to try and improve the TPS signal. I thought I remember someone mentioning some kind of homemade filter.

Thanks Twibs. The "Mr. Steel" file has a little of fine tuning on the fuel map and the decel was added in. one other potentially related issue I am dealing with is a serious battery drain. Wondering if maybe a short could be causing all the TPS noise. This weekend I hope to find what is causing the power draw

first fix your known issues. the drawl cant be good. and then see if you can fix the noise. id expect no more than 1.5% swing in tps. even that much is high.
then set the voltages so tps is always above 0 and below 100 sensors->options tps> set min voltage lower than it is and max voltage higher than it is at wot.
in the actual tune
id back the timing back into idle cells theres no real good reason to be running that much timing at idle. i would also even out your ign vs rpm offset table its skewed to one side. i would also go back into the ignition map and smooth it out. you have a big sudden drop of timing id spread it out over another 1000 rpm so you drop into idle cells gradually. Then retune your fuel to the new ign numbers.
Cheers!
