no tps

setting up my ems 1710 with a bmw tps in a 90miata. So Ive been searching for awhile and am still scratching my head. Finally decided to ask for help. Here is what Ive done so far.

I setup the bmw wires per write up here.

https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...pnp-faq-12239/

yellow wire --> signal
black wire --> 5v
brown wire --> ground

With that done, i found only 2v output. Found that it was ok aslong as its setup properly.

So now I need to setup the ems. Followed these steps.

https://www.miataturbo.net/aem-59/ae...tps-how-33004/

Now everything is done, when i try to set throttle range, tps voltage sits at 4.96v for min and max. when i press the throttle, no activity on the screeen.

Ok so check the wire.

red wire --> 5v
blk grn wire --> ground
lt grn wht wire --> signal

Back probed the lt grn/wht wire at the ems and reads the same voltage at the tps signal.

This is where my car battery died from koeo and called it a day.

What am i missing? Bad ems?:vash::vash:

any help would be much appreciated.

if you disconnect the tps still 4.96? i think you just have the settings mixed up.

Think I have it figured out But haven't tested yet. The lt grn/ WHT wire is where the factory full throttle open is. Compared the ems pin out to factory and they used a different pin. The factory wire that was used was at 2L while the ems is trying to read 2M which is an open cavity.
