Default Plastic and Wood

...Also some aluminum and carbon fiber

After a few years on the track on street tires and no aero, I've decided to move closer to full retard with my NB. I've used this site as a resource for many, many things and want to thank all that have forged ahead and allowed me to cherry pick proven ideas. Thanks again!

With that said, here's my take on the airdam/plenum/undertray with rear wing.

My facilities are limited, so coroplast is the plenum material of choice. Duct tape FTW!

The undertray is .375" baltic birch. I used Singular's mounts as inspiration. Mine are .125" 1" aluminum tube. Brackets are .125" as well.

Front clip back on, working on what to cut, how to locate, etc...

Plenum trimmed. I wanted this setup modular, for trailer loading, damage, maintenance.

HPDE .100" airdam material. Most of the cutting with a jigsaw. Haven't located plenum opening, tow strap or brake ducts here.

APR-GTC-200 wing with custom endplates. Endplates are also .125" 6061. I bought the car with the wing and promptly removed it. Finally putting it to use.

Getting closer! Airdam is mounted with 1/4 x 20 nutserts. Trying out nylon screws. Holes cut out and 3" brake ducts in place. Still contemplating how to locate the sides of the airdam at his point.

Never really finished, right? My idea for locating the sides of the airdam wasn't fully working, hence the duct tape. I'll have a cleaner, more traditional solution by the next track day.

Does it work, you ask?

I spent Saturday going through wing angles to find what worked and what didn't.
Interesting to find it wasn't as intuative as I thought it might be. Also, for a while, I thought it definately needed a splitter.
I'm going to make one up, it should be easy now all the hard work is done, but I'm not so sure it needs it because...

Sunday morning, I put fresh rubber on it and put the wing in what seemed like a sweet spot and ran seconds quicker than my PB!
Plenty more in it, because it wasn't my greatest lap ever by a long shot and the rest of the day I spent working a mechanical. Never got out again.
Seems like a winner, let's see if it holds up!
