Default yay aero

Had the idea for this subsection many years ago but thought I wasn't the right sponsor for it so I let it sit in the "to do" pile. Pretty sure the thought crossed Ryan's (Singular Motorsports) mind too so I bugged him to make it happen. Welcome to the only dedicated Miata aero section on any forum on the planet with a proper S/N ratio.

Cool.

cliffs from someone who has done a bit of aero development would be great at this point.

the S/N ratio is already a bit out of whack.

Thinking about this thread.... what is it for, how do we contribute?
Are we sharing scientific testing?
Do we post pictures of what we have and critique?
Is it cfd based?
Are mods going to delete comments that add no value?

just wondering what the vision is for this thread in relation to the other aero thread.

please advise

E's excited about the aero section, which this thread was posted in. Look at the header.

I misunderstood. Thought this particular thread was something other than just an announcement.

Miataturbo has groomed us well in aero over the years. I see "racing shops" on Facebook and sometimes whisper WTF under my breathe at their absurd lack of aero knowledge. I would suggest akin to club roadster where they have the "post your white Miata" threads, breaking up some threads into specific areas, "post your wings", "post your diffusers", "post your front end" etc. Aero is complicated enough where certain areas of the car a year from now would already have 20 page threads. Maybe even a newbs guide to stages of aero packages that work. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
