I don't know if an airbox or turbine heat shield could be made universal. Maybe the MC shield.

Would you happen to have a tower brace mount I can experiment on? If you do, bring it by and I won't charge you for whatever I can come up with.

Honestly, at the rate this project is going I'll be lucky to get the exhaust on by fall. My current living arrangement has me banished to an existence of city garage parking and they're not too keen on housing 'projects'. As a result, I've been using my Dad's garage but being an hour away combined with OT at work I'm lucky to get a day of wrenching in a week.
I've just been plugging away on the little things (fabricating new rad/IC brackets, machining fan mounts for the Koyo, etc.) hoping that at some point in the next month or so I can get a long weekend to bring it all together.
Until then your dp and exhaust will have to function as an art installation in my living room.

Doing a side exit exhaust would decrease ground clearance by at least the diameter of the pipe, unless you cut out the frame rail, which is a bad idea IMHO. or you run a tiny *** pipe and circle back around the frame rail to a hole right in front of the rear tire, but flow would suck.
I think Abe is talking about a driver's side exit in the back instead of the stock pass. side rear exit.

Correct. I had Abe design the exhaust to exit on the drivers side of the rear bumper since I have one of the old fiberglass simpson design flush mounts which came sans exhaust 'ports' so one can choose their exhaust exits.
Concerning sound output - my exhaust previous to this new ARTech setup also was a drivers side exit but had no resonator and while it was a little loud, I would say it was no louder than the OEM exhaust on my MS3 or some of the local miatas running FM set ups.

Do you mind us asking what the price is on an identical NB setup like that? I can't tell but is that the 2nd largest Magnaflow (next one down from the 22" ) ? Looking forward to the sound clips.

price you have to talk to abe. we are not done with mine. it will be getting a resonator once my supercharger is in place to deal with the increased in sound output from extra air. may have been better off with a smaller rear can but i'm looking for loud race track car =D

My buddy did this on his firebird. Our main issue was that he could never lower it from stock ride height, as he'd start destroying the pipe. Do you think you could flatten a piece of pipe to gain an inch or two of ride height? The only other thing we could think of was drill holes and putting it inside the frame/body work.
