Default Artech is good at doing stuff

Another happy customer here and I haven't even received my parts yet! Just looking at the first 2 pictures of my manifold gets me all giggity! It still needs the flange for my Tial EWG welded on, but it's looking amazing already! He is also making me a stainless downpipe with wastegate routed into exhaust, and a full 3" stainless exhaust! Ordered turbo studs, and stainless water/oil lines from him while I'm at it

I'll update with more sexy pics as they come!

Thanks again Abe! The wait was worth it for the quality I am getting here!!!

That's exciting!

I'm also anticipating a manifold and downpipe, still need to pay for an exhaust, oil feed/return and coolant lines.

I'm definitely pretty excited about it haha. Hoping to have some more pics of progress by the end of the week!

Abe should really have more of these threads. He pumped mine out in a few days, I don't see why he doesn't have one of these threads every few days, beautiful stuff.

Abe, if you're reading this, GET BACK TO WORK!

Hahaha I know he was a bit backed up from when he stopped fabbing for a month or 2...

I just really appreciate the attention to detail that he gives every piece he does, so I want to make sure I give credit where it's due. A thread showing pics of his beautiful artwork is the least I come up with haha

Copy and pasted from my build thread, but figured I would update with the final pictures!

Artech is THE MAN! Took forever to wait for all this stuff, but I wouldn't have waited this long for any other work but his. Everything is shipping tomorrow!

Don't be too jealous... I wont be able to get everything installed/ set-up until winter or maybe even spring. Gotta save up for MS, Injectors, bov, gauges, and probably other things I am forgetting lol

With all the photos of his shitty fab car Abe really needs to clean the frame rails and put some Artech stickers on them. I'm always thinking "why would anyone put such nice parts on a shitty miata" when I see his fab work.

Ill be putting his nice parts on my shitty miata-because engineer.
Id rather spend good money on the go fast parts then worry about paint or clean frame rails. just sayin

cant wait til I get my exhaust. waiting sucks but seeing those pics reminds me its worth the wait.

Hahaha absolutely right there with ya. My car might not be pristine on the outside but I decided the one thing I didn't want to do was put shitty parts on my car when it came to the turbo side of things. I did go with a churbo but I consider that temporary... I'll have a Garrett in due time!

I'm glad I cant get my car up high enough to take good pictures of my underside for you to critique them. Not that I have any parts from abe on the car, I cant afford that. And the prideful engineer in me would look down my nose at myself if I didn't fab my own parts that don't look as good as abe's.

Do not trust this clap. I lost 2 before I got smart and got 2 lock nuts and safety wired it.

This is me in somewhere in OK after one fell off

Those clamps are what Abe uses to set everything up in his jig car. He sent me the same exact clamps that you posted. Using that safety tie is a good idea!

The thumb screws are what he uses in mock up I thought, I got a lock nut from a nissan (I think), and put a washer so it wouldn't get mauled when I tightened it.

Looks kind of like this except tiny little slots, I'm guessing they spring in on the threads? I dunno, it works. They're on my turbo too.

Is that a lock nut with a non round hole (oval) so it stays tight or is it a castellated nut like for axles designed to have a pin through the cutouts and a hole in the bolt to prevent rotation?

It's hard to describe, it's a OEM nut off a SR20 nissan AFAIK. Looks like a standard nut with little slots cut in the top, Abe says they're good enough for the Nissan turbo setup, so he has me trying them out. So far so good, but only a couple track days on them. And I have one on my vband flange.

He shipped his older exhaust systems with what jeff_man showed ... at least mine came that way.

Can't say I've had any issues since 2 years later it's still not on the car. Soon ... very soon ... and I guess I'll be using locking nuts.
