BEGI Delivery time?

I would like to order a Begi-ssm kit. I've been told to expect 3-4 weeks for delivery (it is a different turbo than most of their setups gt2871). After reading some threads I am worried about delays. I am the type of customer who if told it will done at a certain time and it gets delayed too much I would rather loose money and time, rather than tough it out. So I would send it back to make sure the company won't get any of my money.

My question is when Begi has promised a delivery time how accurate was it. Right on? Early? Late? or 5 months later and still giving excuses. I really like their products but I will have no patience if they start making excuses and delays, and I will take my business elsewhere if need be.

I would like to hear only if you have had personal experience, so please no, my friend had this happen to him but not me. Thanks

Forget the poll and buy AbsurdFlow.

From reading many threads about them the general review I'm getting is that they are very often late. I'd say expect it at least a few weeks late just so you get no surprises.

I am looking into all vendors but for the kit I want and parts I want so far Begi is my choice. That is unless I find out 3-4 weeks will become much longer. Thanks

why dont you work this out with BEGi if you're concerned? call them up, tell them your opinion on lateness, and see how they react.

you'll either hang up with a money back delivery guarantee or a solid reason to shop somewhere else. polls are lame.

The reason is I have had companys say yeah I'll have it out to you by then or refund your money. Then the time comes and goes. And I end having to either wait longer or return the product. Now if I find that most people have been lied to (what I call it when someone promises something and never delivers) then I won't trust their word. However if I find the opposite then I will do buisness.

Was this companies name "BEGI"? No? So how is that little story relevant? Call them and tell them you will hold them to the time line promised or expect compensation. It's called a service level agreement. Common sense, you don't need an internet forum to tell you this.

WTF why are you getting your panties ruffled. I need to know other peoples experiences to see if a company is trustworthy. I've made that very clear. An agreement is nothing if the company making the agreement isn't trustworthy. Either you have a personal experience or you don't. If you don't then don't post simple enough.

Newbsauce 02-03-2009 03:48 PM

There are better ways of handling it then polling for opinions.

Either call them and get an agreement in place, or don't. Yes, I have personally dealt with them. On products I've ordered they have come through.
On a current product they are building for me, I did not give them a time line because it is not important to me. For someone who values time, as you mentioned earlier, you sure are wasting a great deal of it by polling a site historically pro-BEGI.

I say BEGi hires me as "Shop Manager and All-Around General Turbo Dweeb" and all these issues will be gone.

Although I have yet to have any delivery issues and they were able to come through for me a few years back with my "need by" date for my custom downpipe.

I suggest you call and talk to Steph and ask for an honest assessment of when you should expect delivery, then get her to sign a contract that gives you it for free if they fail to meet your date :P

LOL Once i'm ready to order another week it looks now :( I will be talking to Steph. I would still like to hear everybody's experience. Good or bad. Thanks

So far the poll says that products are almost always late. Good experience or not thats important to know.

cjernigan 02-03-2009 05:45 PM

I've had issues with them, but if anything they're pretty darn good at resolving any issue I've had with them.

y8s 02-03-2009 05:45 PM

A) get parts fast but have critical pieces missing or fit poorly and you get no support.

B) get parts slow but everything is there plus the company will cup your nuts if you need.

you decide.

disturbedfan121 02-03-2009 05:46 PM

ah but if it was late and they still had a good experience what does that say?

why does it matter so much if its on time? are you getting deployed? and are the type of person who doesn't understand that shit happens? people get sick, stuff isn't made to spec so it has to get remade.

Also its not like what you're buying is sitting around on a self waiting to be shipped. its all custom made. now its also really dumb to send back a product that was made for you because it was late. yea you didn't spend money but now you're back to square one with no parts and then you have to go through the same thing again.

extremely late is the exception to the previous statement

thesnowboarder 02-03-2009 05:48 PM

I had one good experience and another bad experience.

First:
1.6 "s" kit no turbo SSSGDP- delivered as promised
1.8 "s" kit w/ gt2560 SSSGDP in a 1.6 car. I received a mild steel dp when i ordered a ss one. They did some lame slip over thing at the end of the dp because for some reason they couldn't just put a 1.6 cat in there to mate it up too. So the dp doesn't fit perfectly.

The worst part of all was i was told 10-15 days till ship and it didnt ship till 45 days after the date i ordered. With the wrong dp!

I called back and talked to Stephenie and she never returned my call. I just put the mild steel dp on since i had a track event coming up and i couldn't wait another month for the proper dp. :(

You shouldn't have to. And i'm sorry your saying if I want it in 3-4 weeks that is rushing it. And they would have an excuse to not have the right parts in the box?

ChuckyZ 02-03-2009 06:11 PM

Once again I'm not saying anything bad about begi. I am just trying to find out if the products have arrived when they say or was it late. If I am told it will take a certain time may it be 4 weeks or 4 months and then it is delayed is a deal buster for me.

I understand that things come up once in awhile especially with custom parts but if it happens almost every order then its not the circumstances it's the company's organization.

Both situations can be true.
