Default 1987 Mazda RX7 with a 1.6 B6ZE

I bought this from theshdwconspracy, after bugging him for over a year. So it's my problem now, yay.

Current build list:
1987 Mazda RX7 FC
1.6 B6ZE swap
Street or Strip turbo turbo manifold
GTX2867 T3 .63AR
3" exhaust
38MM Tial screamer
Bell engineering forward facing intake manifold
M-tuned fuel rail
Injector Dynamics 1000CC injectors
AEM EMS 4
*stock head
Maverick motorsports T2 transmission adapter
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
ACT 6 puck clutch
Shaftmaster aluminum driveshaft

It produced 407hp and 331tq on E85 with 29psi.
It now produces 0hp and 0tq after me owning it.

I was reading 407 horsepower out of a B6 and wondering how well that would work out over time. Then the pictures.

It has made 407 since 2015. I would say that's a pretty good life considering the primary use of the car is drifting.

This is super rad I used to follow the previous owner always had a sweet spot for this car with its spirit of the little 1.6 that could. Give it new life!

Got the engine together and back in the car. The car has been at the tuner since Monday, waiting semi-patiently.

The new goodies:
10.6:1 0.040 Supertech pistons
Manley rods
ACL bearings
ARP 2000 head studs
ARP main studs
Cometic head gasket
Cleaned and flow matched ID 1000’s
ACT 6 puck unsprung

Also made some shadow boxes for my old engine remains.

I did something similar with a F20C turbo engine. First fully built engine was ruined by a tuner, so I took my beautifully ruined pistons and made a shadow box for my parents. Glad your keeping the 1.6L. Are the plans for car still 100% drift spec?

Got the car back from the tuner. Car now makes 383HP and 290TQ at UMS tuning on a Dynapack. The car is now at 22psi instead of 29psi.

Took the car out this weekend to Musselman Honda Circuit for The Showdown II. It rained on and off Saturday, but dried up by Sunday. I ended the weekend early by breaking a drivers side CV axle.

I love the same thought process for failed attempts. Yeah I bought this car to keep as a drift car. No plans to change that any time soon.
