I tried out the strength of it

 

Got bored again and had to build something
So to vent out high pressure air out of the wheel well

To Sarasota 1738 miles in 36 hours

 

How hard is it to take your wing off? When I trailer my car more than the 50 miles to local events I pull the wing off to save the 0.5-1 mpg, that adds up on a 1738 mile journey. At least your trailer made mad downforce. :rotfl:

 

I left it up to get some pics of the setup while driving. Since there was a lot of dirt out in the mid west. I put a strip of Plasidip along the leading edge of the wing to protect it.

The car sits at 2020 lbs
The Uhaul trailer is at 2360 lbs (now that's a heavy bitch)

 

Whoa thats heavier than the uhaul I use, but mine's an older rustier model.

Hello new car

 

So a little update

This is the beginning of the radiator duct and not the full project. I haven't designed the air exit out the hood yet but it is on its way.

So here are some pics

 

Oh man I like that ducting. This thread has been inspirational. Makes me want to go fab up something.
