Me too! And yes, I loved my NA which was also turbo, but I dont regret it at all. The NC is still the same DNA, just needs little work to bring it back to the smiles and giggle factor of the NA. Which I am OK with. Its all part of the fun anyway. And you know whats great? I don't get wet when it rains
Weekend update... put the ohlins in and they feel great. Went to roll the front fenders and didn't love the way it came out. Not sure if I am going to do the rears or pay someone to do them.
Alignment will be next weekend and will be mounting up new wheels then. Also had clear bra installed on the front of the car and windows tinted. and installed the stubby antenna and ecutek Bluetooth.
I am open to al the tips that I can get. The rears are definitely thicker. I was worried that it was going to take a lot more force to roll those and was worried I was going to then accidentally pull them. What tips do you have for the rears? Also - how much do you think it would be to have someone roll the rears?
I am using a mitok fender roller? It looks just like the eastwood one online.
Thanks in advance for any tips on the rears. If it is easy, I may attempt it one night this week.
I have the Eastwood roller and didn't have any issues with the rear, though they are definitely tougher than the front. Just take your time and be patient.
Use lost of heat, like hot to the touch, ~130F. Start with the roller at like a 45* angle from the floor and bend it up in stages, so the very inner bit of the lip, work your way in until your towards the outer edges, constantly applying heat, then go to like a 70* angle and do the same thing. You honestly shouldn't need to pull on anything to roll a fender if you're doing it right. It should be mostly up to only going 1/2 turn of the roller and going back and forth smoothly up the fender lip. Another 1/2 turn, repeat. You'll only need to acutally pull on the roller if you're pulling the fender.
That's mostly how I have done very clean "vip" set ups where the condition of the fenders to the customer is of utmost importance. I used to charge $15 a fender, but worked out of my garage (but rolled cleaner than any shops that just wanted to get it done and charged $30+ a fender) Was able to get a 15x8 +0 with a 205 hoosier to fit a NA without cracking any paint
Was looking at those pictures and noticed how dark those dang windows look. Theyre 50%! One of the lightest shades of tint I could go with. I am debating the look of it. What does everyone think?

Yea they squeak like crazy. I actually just ordered some black felt with sticky backing that I will be putting on the back of the seat where the towel is to prevent the squeaking. Or I have to leave the seat more upright, or put something in between it. Will post back and let you know how my felt mod goes when they come in. Will be doing it to both seats.
We don't have that problem on the driver's side because neither of us are all the way back against the bulkhead. Passenger side squeaks if all the way back...
