Replaced the kosei's with 16" OEM SE Enkei's. With the springs at the bottom perch, current ride height is 11.5F/12R. Wanting more information on these "Ebay brides knockoffs"

Nice work so far. I think the switch from K1s to the Enkeis was a downgrade though.

I sold my begi S4 manifold and dp to replace it with a begi S6 kit. I am having a tough time getting the downpipe in place. Any tips? I tried every angle I can think of, and it just isn't working. Any help please?

big updates:
I got the megasquirt up and running nicely. I installed a wideband to learn the megasquirt tuning software. Then I got an opportunity to street tune a 95 turbo miata, so that is a good learning experience for when I turbo my car. Currently, the car pulls hard (for a miata, anyways) with just basic street tuning on 93 octane gas and an increase in timing across the board. Pics of my wideband in one of the factory air vents: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_3993.JPG http://lh4.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_3997.JPG The stock 5sp tranny is known to blow when boost is added. So I installed the 6 speed tranny from my parts car, along with Flyin' Miata 10.3lb flywheel and centerforce dual friction clutch. Sorry, no pics of the installation. Boss frog clearview single hoop roll car install: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_3978.JPG While installing the rollbar, I removed my soft top (to replace it with the top from my parts car). http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_3981.JPG everything out: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_3983.JPG I found a rusty fuel cover panel. I sanded the rust off and painted all the panels that were on top of the fuel tank. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_3984.JPG End result: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_3992.JPG Rspeed hood dampers: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4006.JPG I also repainted my valve cover. This is what I started with: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4042.JPG primer: http://lh5.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4044.JPG black base: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4045.JPG Design: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4049.JPG Final: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4054.JPG Installed RX7 460cc fuel injectors: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4041.JPG Stock 127k injectors vs. cleaned 460cc's: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4047.JPG also debadged the rear license panel: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_3985.JPG And lastly, I put new wheels on. Kosei K1. 16x7.5+32 in the front and 17x7.5+25 in the rear: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/S_...0/IMG_4014.JPG Installed all-aluminum 55mm radiator with alum. shroud and slim fans wired in parallel: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/TA...0/IMG_4117.JPG http://lh4.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/TA...0/IMG_4121.JPG Beginning of turbo install: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/TA...0/IMG_4154.JPG Deleted AC and PS bracket and pulley, removed EGR. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/TA...0/IMG_4155.JPG Look at all the weight savings! http://lh5.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/TA...0/IMG_4158.JPG Coolant rerouting to clear charge pipes. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/TA...0/IMG_4165.JPG http://lh3.ggpht.com/_u_Fa91MHhi4/TA...0/IMG_4168.JPG Turbo on! My injectors! Where in Buffalo do you live? I'm actually moving there towards the end of this month if all goes well.
|
Would you please give us your opinion on the knockoff bride seats?
I know people bash them, but they honestly look great. It seems to me that they MUST be better/safer than stock seats just because how much lower they put you, this is if you run them with proper harnesses/rollbar of course. Also, for some reason since they were knockoffs i was expecting them to read BIRDE or something along those lines. Rofl. |

This build came along very nicely, I was a little skeptical of the valve cover but it kinda grew on me. Very nicely done.
How do you like those seats? Are they the knock offs on factory rails? I would love to get a set like those. |
+12 on the seats.
Would you mind posting build price, or PM me rough prices on some of the things you got if you wanted to keep quiet? Really curious. Very nice though, I think it was done very well with very tasteful mods. |

If you are looking for a louder BOV, the one you want is the Turbo XS RFL.
It will have people turning around everytime you chop the throttle. I prefer something more subtle. If you want one I have one I'd sell for $50. I prefer not to have people looking all the time.. Sweet Ride! |
Welcome to the baller v-band crew.
|
nice build! i'm digging the valve cover and the subtle NB interior pieces. and i will be going to ebay and looking for those seats :p
