I know how much weiscos cost and hearing them called inexpensive compared something makes my wallet hurt.
Billet mains, custom? Or are they a production item somewhere.
Would you consider super techs very reliable under 500?
I'm thinking about 2816 pistons just to handle all the tuning related "learning" I'm going to be doing. I've seen Emilio say that ebay h beams are good for 600 so I'm not as worried about rods.
What do billet mains do? Help cut down on crank flex?

They are made of a steel alloy that is both stronger and stiffer than cast iron. So once they are installed and machined to the block, the caps will flex less than the cast iron caps. I don't remember the exact numbers (looked into it a while back) but the alloy that was available from FM at the time was over twice as stiff as the cast iron stock caps. Also they would be stronger as mentioned.

Yep I looked into em more last night. $625 from miataroadster.
I'll just run ARP mains and call it a day. I think my goal stands at hitting 400hp. Going to build around that. So I'll be happy with manley/ebay rods. And some supertechs for better oil usage. I might still go 2618 pistons. But this is all a ways out.

Local clutch shop just talked my ear off for half an hour. I can tell this is the kind of place this is going to tell me what I should get instead of making what I want lol. Going to go in sometime in the next week and get some organic discs made for the twin disc. They said their turnaround time is 1 day...so thats cool.

Clutchnet wants $250 for a set of organic discs. Not horrible, but more than I wanted to pay. We'll see what the local shop says before I call him back.
Anyone ever heard of running one disc of each kind? Is that a thing? Holding power of ceramic on one disc, modularity of organic on a nother?

Just dropped the clutch off at the local friction supply. $115 for two new organic plates. And another 50 for grinding the flywheel and the outer friction plate. Should be done by the end of the week.
Turns out it was organic all along I just never bothered to take it apart. It's a good thing I brought it in and didn't just install it because the disks were completely trashed and the rivets were about to start rubbing.

They can grind both the flywheel and the pressure ring for $50, but the floater plate is too thin to grind. I plan on getting them both ground, and roughing up the floater plate.

They are just replacing the friction material, I think the rings are like $7 each, then an hour of labor or something. Seemed like a good shop, they talked me through everything and were helpful.

Whats the go to light battery around here. I leave my lights on too often to go lifepo. Currently I have a Deka ETX14 on my list. Anything else I should look at?

Not gonna happen. Just the other day I left my keys in the car blower on max all night long. And that's not an uncommon occurrence. I don't even have a 20$ lawn mower battery I have some giant POS. What is $20 on prime and could actually start my car in cold weather.
