Car is fine. No contact. Video is below. I just finished editing/rendering and uploading it.

So anyways, this event was a Saturday only event. There were 5 competitors in TTE. I took first place and set a new track record by 1.5 seconds. But I left a lot of time on the table. I will have to go back there again. At least a second out there still.

The first session, I forgot to put the fuse back into the inline fuse holder for my transponder that comes off the battery... I got hit with a transponder flag on the very first lap, and it was a 20 minute session. So I went into the hot pits since I left the fuse laying in the trunk, and the grid guys managed to find the fuse still in the trunk, plug it in and I was on my way back out.

But the trunk didn't shut all the way. The aerodynamics of the car at speed actually kept the trunk shut during the time on track but when I got back into the pits it popped up lol.

Also when I went back out I went 4 off at the end of the straight... it's in the video.

I did some more laps to get used to the track again, I don't think I've driven it in over 2 years. My best time was a couple hundredths slower than the TTE track record but was DQ because of the off.


Second session, I go out, get some laps in, go decently fast, break the track record by 1.5 seconds, and right as I'm passing start/finish a Corvette has a big spin coming into a pretty decent braking zone. It's in the video, also have a bit of an explanation in the video. Luckily no contact. I talked to the dude after, he's super cool, new car though and fighting brake bias issues. Needs to get a prop valve in there or something.

Tow rig update. It did fucking awesome on its maiden voyage. I never want to pull another enclosed bumper pull trailer again, that shit is for the birds. The whole rig is mega solid, passing semi trucks there is no sway, rock solid all the time. It's a bit of a beast to get around with but it'll be worth it. The truck usually sits at 210 degrees oil temp when cruising at 70MPH unloaded on the highway. With the trailer with cruise control set to 70MPH ( trailer weight probably about 10,000lbs with just the Miata in it) it never got over 218 degrees on the way home, with ambient temps around 85 or 90, and the A/C on. On the slight grades that I encountered, it didn't lose any speed at all and it only ramped up to about 10PSI of boost. Max it will hit at full throttle right now is 14 PSI. I think I have to adjust the wastegate actuator preload. On this truck, adding boost on the top of the canister actually opens the wastegate instead of helping keep it shut. Still on stock tune. Super happy with it so far, looks like everything is doing fine and the investment in parts isn't a waste. Motor seems happier as well.
