Update:

NC is getting ready for HPDE and Autox.

Sparco QRT-R from scratch and dent with Racequip 6-point:

CSF radiator bought on super dooper sale along with Moroso overflow:

Hardtop painted:

New spring rates, shocks, and wheels and tires:

Next up:

Working on fabricating the GTX manifold: A good friend is doing the welding and we are doing the mockup and design together. He is a much better welder than I. We got all the tubes within 1/4" in length.

Any interest in selling the old turbo manifold? Is it stock location? And what's wrong with it?

Good choice on the NC. I track my turbo miata with my buddies 09 NC, and the NC is super capable even under stock power. Enjoy!
If you really want it, I’ll send it to you. It’s nasty. It is mostly stock location, but T25 flange.

Here’s why you don’t want it:

I had my first Autox since I ran a PGT Legacy on Acropolis Spec Pirelli Gravel tires at a Blue Ridge Region autox in 2003, and first serious since 99. I had an amazing time, and it was really glorious to not worry about other cars or people.
Ran on ECS, as I thought it would be more wet than it was. It was blustery and damp, and I struggled with grip. Of course, I suck as a driver, but it was fun.

And the wife did her first event ever.... and is hooked.

Always a for first-time shenanigans.

I'd say you're within 2.5" in length, but that doesn't matter. Looks great.

No idea now. My welder friend is doing it at the shop while I’m at the conference. I’ll measure some day. You’re probably right.

It seems close until you model it and see how far it's not close haha. I had to add goofy 2.6" longer straights on runners 1 & 4 to Lars' manifold to make the centerline lengths the same on all.

That makes sense. When we were measuring lengths we were just using “shortest wall length”.

That's a perfect setup. I recently picked up a vf10 hybrid turbo for mine, so I'm staying stock manifold for now. Gotta get a clutch in it before I can make any more power though..

Love the content, keep it coming!

I'm going to split the NC off into another build thread.

Hey @Toiyabe do you still have your GTXs? I assue so, and hope you still lurk here, and we can maybe get an update. Typical mt.net move to get an NC and abandon all your old ****

I've still got mine, still mostly stock!

I don't think he comes here often.

He still has the white GTX but I think it's still waiting on a wiring harness and ecu.

As far as the NC, it was sold. Then he got a Scion FRS SSC autox car. That got sold. Then he got a c5. That got sold. Then he got an e92 m3 which he still has and just picked up an M2 as well.

It's been a lot of car shuffling the last few years.
