Default Bikersam' s first time turboing

1st time and I don't know what I'm doing; uhh, it goes where?!?!

Some from intro thread:
Recently purchased my '91 Miata. 75k on the odometer but it's definitely been abused a little, not the cleanest of cars, however the interior is in surprisingly good shape. Mostly stock as far as I know, it all looks like it visually. Has a short shifter installed and is lowered on some unknown springs with KYB shocks; has a HDRoll bar and a strut bar.

I'm from Sonora, Ca in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada's, where the majority of the roads are windy and curvy as hell. I've had some fun driving it around, but had a run in with a family of deer the other night. Ended up on the shoulder which had a manzanita tree and some rocks that the Miata and I wiped out. Broken and bent some stuff, the front right tire is stuck turned toward the right. So I flat bedded it to my house and it's damage assessment time.

Fixed the fender and headlight. Ordered a new shock, and bought a new steering rack, knuckle, end link, UCA, LCA, some new mirrors to paint black as the passenger one took some damage. Putting those on currently.

Planning on depowering the new rack I got, and removing all of the A/C. Just removed the EVAP crap.

Been getting some parts in the mail.

Pictured: rebuilt SR20 T25, Begi cast manifold, ceramic coated FM divorced waste gate divider cast elbow, FM 2.5 hybrid downpipe with brace, brain-built MS1. Planning on either picking up the rest of the FM exhaust setup from MCA or having a buddy build me 2.5" from the downpipe back with a big magnaflow.
Ideas on exhaust choice? Different route I should consider? Cheaper the better.

Waiting on an ACT PP and 6 puck sprung clutch.
Need:
update MS1 to MS2(keep it MS1?? I don't know what I'm doing) and rewire for my 1.6l.
550cc injectors
Walboro 190HP (how much can the stock fuel pump be pushed?)
Toyota COP's
Easiest/most cost effective intercooler setup.

Hoping for 220whp with this setup, which I want for a while, then I hope to upgrade the turbo(2860?) and shoot for around 260-270whp along with getting a torsen in the rear end.

Also just picked up a Hobart MIG, and a soldering station. Got a lot of learning and research ahead of me.
Thoughts, ideas, advice? Negative and positive criticism. I want all of it.

Also add a wide band, studs and nuts, and water/oil lines to my need list. Any other little things I'm forgetting?

Just ordered some 660cc FIC Injectors through Renown along with my 6 puck ACT.
Also just ordered some oil feed/drain and coolant lines from ARTech.

I have some Valvoline 10w40 I'm going to put in her right now, while she's still a virgin.
Have a question for once she's boosted though:
I see many of you guys raving about Rotella, I have access to a lot of DELO 400 for super dirt cheap; have any of you guys ran DELO? I searched and saw a few people considering it, but that's all. Worth using for me (4quart oil change w/ Delo cost me like $10) or should I just stick with Rotella?

for reference I made 225 with this setup on a 1.8. You will probably see power in the low 200's to 225 if you tune the timing a bit more aggressive. My boost was 12ish psi.

Good lookin' start.

I can personally recommend Abe's (ARTech) work if you're looking for a well-priced and even more well-built full exhaust. He offers a lot of options to suit your budget and goals.

In your case a mandrel bent full 3" is going to be the way to go to save some of the top end flow out the turbine. Really the best way to have the perfect "around town" turbo and still have it pull hard to redline. An adjustable cam gear on the intake side retarded ~4* will also help move a little bit of the powerband north.

I hate to say it, but you should of gone with the FM1 clutch. With a non built motor there is no need for a 6 puck. Other then that the build looks nice so far.

Gospeed: I was actually considering him after seeing a ton of posts with his quality and beautiful work. I'll shoot him a PM soon.

Shuiend: I was going to just get an ACT organic but Renown Perf. mentioned this would hold up to the more power I'm hoping for in the future. That means I don't have to do another one 6 months down the road, hopefully.

Sweet! You'll be receiving another PM shortly, haha.

Just attempted to depower my rack, but realized I have an inadequate amount of tools, and didn't have a chisel to get the bent washer thing holding the tie rods to the rack. So I ended up looping the lines and getting two plugs.

Sold my camera and I hate using my crappy iphone camera, but I think I'm gonna snag my girlfriends point and shoot canon so I can bore you guys with pictures of my progress as it comes along slowly.

Just checked my vin and I guess I have a short nose crank engine. Gonna go drink more whiskey and hope it changes. Im upset about it but I dont think Im 100% sure why. Any really worries about it other than when changing the timing belt? Am I gonna boost then blow? Or fuckz it and boost away?

4 slots and a baby shoulder on the bolt. :( Would they have replaced the crank and left the SNC bolt and pulley? Worth popping the bolt off to see?

New studs arrived from BEGI, along with some COPs. ARTech's lines came in earlier this week as well.

Anyone have any answers to my SNC woes?
Decided on 3' ARTech exhaust post-downpipe.

Still need to order a 190lhp Walboro, decide on a wide band, figure out my boost control situation and get my intercooler, piping and BOV sorted out and ordered.

SNC pulley won't work on a long nose, so no, 99% chance they didn't keep it.

Do the locktite fix or pull the engine to swap the cranks, your choice.

A/C is mostly gone now. There's a big opening with out the P/S & A/C in there, kind of nice.

Tranny appears to be seeping a small amount of gear oil out of this hole. Any idea what it is?

660 FIC Injectors are in.

Clocking the SR20 T25 and trying to get the wastegate actuator mounted.

Plan on going ebay route for my intercooler. Using this as a refrence/checklist for myself. Input on certain sellers or something I should/shouldn't do is always welcome. So far I think I need:
1x 2.5">2" with a 2" clamp for the compressor outlet
1x 2.5" intercooler with piping, connectors and t-bolt clamp kit. Found a few decent looking ones for ~$160ish.
1x 2.5" BOV adapter pipe
1x BOV not sure what brand/style yet.
Opinions and/or input??
