Man you're a brave soul running your car in chump. I would just be so worried about the unpredictability of all the racers around you. There were a lot of close calls in that video. Luckily your driver was far more aware of what was going on around him "knew" when he could make the move without getting crunched by another.

Yea...I pretty much expect the car to come back on a flatbed completely destroyed every time it leaves the pit lane.
I require the guest/rental drivers to sign a drivers contract that makes them liable for any damage, whether it was their fault or not, up to the cost of completely replacing the car (within reason).

What's the going rate for seat time in one of these events?
I hope to make one event with Luke and his crew That's a lot of w2w seat-time in a short time-frame. And driving this car is WAY more appealing than slapping a lemons car together or something.

2018 schedule is still very much in the air but next Enduro race is likely to be AER @ Rd. Atl. Feb 16-18. I'll likely have open seats for that race.

And that's why I don't do it. Knowing my buddies front running WRL car in GP3 (I've driven in a non-comp environment)................I'm not willing to sign something that says I'm liable for a $25k race car if someone smacks into me.
From what I've gathered if you want to be with a team that has their infrastructure together ~$1500.
infrastructure is so important if you want to a winning team. The differences between the teams I crew with in chump and lemons that have their **** together, and then don't are so obvious once you have done both.
Is this the car you'll have at Charlotte? (saw your post in PFC thread). I'll be out there in a tan/green chopped up Supra with a big Johnny aluminum wing.

Yup, sure is. If I was good person and updated my build thread I'd have mentioned that here.
Oh hey gayz...still racin this car. Doing 14 Hour ChampCar race at Charlotte Motor Speedway this Saturday (April 21st).
Been fighting nagging CPS/CKP issues with this car and the old MS2. Bought a ballenger CPS upgrade, hoping that helps.
So I've raced this car a couple times since last posting, it's been slighty wrecked (by other people...not me) a couple times, and I've been fighting weird demoralizing ecu/electronics issues BUT...I've started working on it again.
Things are happening for 2019. Wings and things specifically...
Below are "before and after" pictures from the 14 hour ChampCar race mentioned a few posts up. Two separate ***** (not me) managed to wreck it in one race. We were pretty fast there, faster than we should have been. I think our fastest lap was in the top five for the whole field.
Also... something, something, you should see the other guy...

Reason: Because "fibe" isn't a word. Or, is it?
