/bench racer analysis script activated
You should go in a ride along in a 200/250/300 hp miata. I've been in two 250hp cars and that's about as fast as I'd personally want for the street.
Also, I think the stock K block NA can top out the safe upper for the BP engine. I don't know much about the K motors, but I was under the impression that you could see 300 with a well planned NA build? The block is definitely way more stout though. So I guess if you want headroom and don't want to deal with cooling issues...

~500whp on a stock k24a2 is achievable on boost/e85, that's insane kill-me-now power levels. Well way way beyond the scope of what I need let alone what I want. So I guess the headroom analysis is moot.
I think the 300whp mark is where I would go "okay, **** me" as it seems to be a common theme of absurd power/weight level. Where is that fantastic MSpaint graphic I have seen of power vs how much you drive lol
Cooling issues + added weight of turbo bits + cool factor of a OEM motor making 220-250whp N/A, is what makes me look at the K20/K24.

Turbo got warrantied today.
Full Race is offering to give it a coating for $80 before they ship out a replacement. Is it worth it? The manifold/downpipe is coated. I figured a hear shield would do something similar and be cheaper.

I mean you're getting the turbo back and shiny like, might as well ball a little bit and do it.
Congrats man. I know you were biting your nails about this a bit. It's awesome that they stand behind their product/customers so well.
