Just recently started working on it again. Trying to get in contact with someone to assemble my engine. Begi recommended Duffin something or other so I'm hoping to give them a call this week.

A buddy and I are trying to salvage the front end project. We have some ideas so hopefully something can be done.

The harness is also getting worked on, slowly but surely.

Coming at this thing from a lot of angles so hopefully I can have it finished for the nice texas weather of fall and winter

With Tom (actct) helping we have devised a plan to get this thing running maybe this month. Probably not with all the goodies on it (but don't worry they are still on the way).

No pics until November 1st... and it will be either fail day or win day.

Okay.. I lied... gonna post pictures throughout the month... So here is one of the many projects being worked on... Finishing up the mounting to the dash, and need to glue a few things, but done other than that.

Front end is coming along, but no pictures until it's basically done.

This Just In....

The hideous front end has been fixed.... and no you can't see it yet. But yes I will taunt you with part of the front end.

In other news... this:

Still has to come out to drill/tap the oil drain holes in the pan.

The big slow down at this point is waiting on small fittings and misc hoses and what not to be shipped to me.

The current turbos will get me to 300whp... but for the sake of getting this **** running quick I am only using the stock engine (while the spare gets built) so I'll probably run 275whpish until the new engine gets in.

I'd like to upgrade the turbos since the 1548s will be on the surge line at 300whp... I will most likely get a new downpipe made if I fit in some GT20 sized turbos to reach my ultimate goal of +400whp.

Yes fuel gauge. Autometer programmable. Will go in vent to the left of steering column.

And speed, but you will see that later via pictures.

I thought my math showed the 1548's sorta just getting started at 300. They made 291rwhp/dynojet on my '94 1.8 with cool IAT's, 14psi. But what trumps that guesswork is to get it together, crank it up, and see. The T2 flange makes it a little easier to fit different turboz on there. Making those downpipes fit the 1548 (from the 1544's) was a PITA as you see with that one downpipe bolt needing it's own tube. Hopefully whatever turbo you go with will have better downpipe bolt hole locations.

**** companies that either A. send you the wrong ****, or B. send you **** that is broke already.

So Jegs and FM, you are now on my **** list.

Jegs sent me the wrong size t-clamp, was supposed to be 4.5" (even on my invoice) and I got a 4".

FM sent me a fucked up -8AN line for my oil filter relocation. So now I'm stuck waiting another ******* week for stupid things grrrr. Guess it's back to boring electrical work.

From what I can tell I have done the math correctly. I'll actually be on the surge line at around 375whp. I feel like calculations for a parallel turbo setup are guess work though. We will see when everything eventually comes together.

Yeah there must be something we are all missing in these calculations... I did some calcs and was getting very nervous with these turbo's ability to run xx lb/min.... I called a couple engineers at various turbo companies and they were saying WHOAH don't bring both of those over 250-270ish on a 1.8L...

There has to be something with a parallel turbo setup that's different. That crossover tube must be doing something too to prevent true compressor surge.

All in all, I cant wait to hear this setup run first hand, truely one of a kind!
