Yeah I thought I would give them a second chance:jerkit:

Don't know if you guys have heard of Pfabrications or not, Pang is the fabricator that built my manifold. He hasn't done any miata stuff but is well know in the honda and subaru communities.

I will post up some pics as soon as I have the opportunity.

As promised here are some pictures of my new manifold built by Pang of Pfabrications. Sorry no pics of the turbo as one with a t3 flange was brought instead of the v-band. But that's okay I am still real fired up!!

I had to cut a relief into the frame to gain clearance for the manifold. I will clean it up and box it in, it's just not going to happen today, as I am on 28 hrs with no sleep, and have to be back at work at 6:30 tonight. What was that phrase??? You have to pay if you want to play!!

The car will be going over to the shop in roughly two weeks where the flange for the dump tube, the recirc dump tube and the down pipe will be fabbed up. Should be cool. Will keep you guys updated!

Hit that manifold with a wire wheel before you put heat through it.

why? you'll reduce radiation heat transfer if you polish it to a mirror finish

Looking forward to seeing the DP and exhaust fabrication. Looks like tis going to be tricky.

curly Apr 24, 2010 04:53 PM

Nah, just point the DP straight up and out of the hood.

don't troll me, motherfucker. It will be the last god damn thing you EVER do.

oh, and please link me to a wire wheel that produces a mirror finish. I'd like to use it on my balls, which are hairless and beachball sized.

i was really curious about the wire wheel suggestion, gangsta.

i'd try a wire wheel with cotton or felt wires. and maybe some rouge

I think I left my compact in your car.

Abe hit mine with a wire wheel so it was all a medium looking gray and its still a uniform gold all over, looks baller.jpg.

WTF

I am in another thread, LOL!

I like the swap deal S2000 Powa, nice to see your excellent welding skills...

Looking forward to see this thing doin some street killing Miata sleeper style.

Plan on getting it coated. What will hitting it with a wire wheel do? Please enlighten me, my learning curve is vertical on the x-axis. Thanks!!

I remember someone talking about going through the hood. Couldn't remember who. But 4sho I can see it now.

Thanks for clearing that up.

3 inch down pipe with recirc dump tube goin out the back. No ghetto solutions for me. If it means tube frame k member then that's what is going to happen. The frame rail is just roughed in right now. I will clean it up and weld it back here in the next week or so.

Sparetire Apr 25, 2010 12:36 PM

Looking pretty sweet! Vbands will make working in that area a lot easier at least.

Thanks for the compliment, the manifold was a bit pricey but I think it is money well spent.

I had planned on waiting until I had the engine out and had better access to the relief cut to box it back in. But I couldn't stand looking at the big gaping hole left by my relief work. So I did the the best I could with the access I had. I will clean it up once I have the engine out, and have picked up some more roll lock sanding disks. But at least I have it healed up a little bit. Here are a couple of pictures.
