This one. Amazon.com: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Platinum Collection: Movies & TV
It's nothing like Rebuild, but it's super clean and it's the best way to experience the original story line.
A friend of mine in Orlando has the complete series on VHS. Talk about interesting.

I watched NGE back when it first became available dubbed on VHS. My spiderhole has no cable: what is this Rebuild business I keep seeing mentioned, and why would they change the story line? Why interesting?

The original NGE was done on a compromise due to budget and time restrictions. Remember that NGE was conceived as an anime before a manga, so the popularity only started once it was aired. They ran out of money towards the end and that's why you have episodes 25 & 26 that are basically nothing. They finished the original story with the movie End of Evangelion as a way to tie it all up.
Forward to recent times: NGE exploded, so they took their time and cleaned up all the music, dead frames, smoothing, etc...and made things like the Platinum Series on DVD.
Rebuild: NGE without compromise. It's what the creators had originally envisioned (with some twists). Rebuild is being done in 4 movies. Three have been released (only two here) and the fourth should be done by 2015. The animation is pretty much the limit of what is capable with technology. It's so good it's almost scary how vivid and dynamic everything looks. Some purists hate it, but I think it's a great thing. It's just more NGE for me to marvel at in my Florida basement.
That's the short version.

Not sure if trolling... what year did you graduate highschool? Am I really that old now?
It's possibly the longest and most mindfucked animation series I've ever seen (not saying there are not more jacked up things.). It's been nearly two decades since I watched it last and I hadn't seen it mentioned in a while. I'm not surprised Fae is interested.
I love how everything Japanese animation is automatically tentacle rape ****.

Noob. Don't you have some product release dates to push back
The most popular animated series (or any series for that matter) in history. The one that 15 years after it's release is actually more popular than after it's initial airing and has museums, art galleries, books, websites, etc...dedicated to it.
AMV from Rebuild.
I'm 24, since that seems to be the new topic of this thread. I live on an island.
Edit: That's the yeti from the skiing game.

185 pages and you need to scroll through 12 at a time to get updates on the vehicle. Is this a life long project? I feel like I've already owned my car for too long and it's been under two years.
