He's on a stock block and a GT2554R, how much power do you think this thing needs to make?

We should put a 2.5" muffler on my car and watch it wheeze itself to 6600rpm where itll chokes itself to death :giggle:

aidandj 02-23-2016 11:50 PM

3" isn't for max power only. I gained like 500rpm of spool.

18psi 02-23-2016 11:55 PM

yeah he'll need all that spool to get that heavy thing moving and he'll need all the help he can get to get that giant laggy gt2554 to hit boost

smoke stacks

through the gauge cluster

18psi 02-23-2016 11:58 PM

also please consider nitrous and compound boost

for the spool

aidandj 02-24-2016 12:02 AM

You of all people encouraging less than 3" exhaust

EO2K 02-24-2016 12:06 AM

You could change over to a 1.8 and pick up another 500rpm worth of spool as well ;)

The box finally made it into the garage so that's gotta be worth something.

LOL, I go to see deadpool with my girlfriend and our housemate and my thread becomes the ramble thread.

The 2.5" bit is really pretty short and likely won't be an issue. I could always try a 3" straight pipe there instead of the muffler and see what difference it makes. The muffler is already set up with a v-band.

Also quote of the evening from my girlfriend: "Deadpool is the awesomest super hero ever!"

EO2K 02-24-2016 10:05 AM

To be fair you do now have a Burns Stainless customer profile and a TIG. Its not like you can't just build your own 3" straight through muffler to fit in that space.

But I completely understand the desire to adapt what you have on hand that you know already fits rather than starting completely from scratch with something new. 3" all the way is addidtional effort, cost and time and while it would be nice to have its also not strictly necessary at this stage in the build. Lots of other little stuff that requires details worked out just get it boosted. Don't waste time on the small stuff.

Shoot me a text if there is anything I can help out with one of these weekends, I'm mostly free. You know me, I'm all pro at drinking beer and holding stuff. I'll even leave my projects at home so we don't get distracted ;)

If you plan to upgrade the snail later and run absurd power, then yeah. If not, I honestly don't think it's a deal breaker.

LMK if you want me to clean up the rambles/flirting

No worries, just amusing :)

On a different note, I rode in a P85+ tonight. Holy fuck, can my car be that quick?
