Did I miss this? Pics of said hood vents?
As soon as I get another hood there will be vents in my life. I prefer the GT500 vent to the Singular, but I'm always interested in seeing what's out there.

Just messing with you. My wife was so appalled by the pictures of the mustache I grew in Iraq, that she threatened to pluck each hair individually with a pair of needle nose.
Threat was not limited to the hair on my face.
Its in a box right now, ran out of time to open them. They are made humming, I think he will be releasing them soon. Its just a single hood vent in the middle, but I think I will like it more, not as becauseracecar as singular.

I run the goatee with no mustache because it never fills in completely (scar tissue is a bitch) and the handlebars never connect right. My wife is out of town for the week, it may be time to go "all in" on the balding guy buzz-cut.

Back on topic:

Saw the auction car for the first time today...slightly dissapointed. No huge deal breakers but a lot of little things that I won't be making money on anymore. Found a bit of power pole in the bracing though, that was interesting.

Broken diff housing, ripped seat, hardtop is worse than I thought, broken valve vover etc. The intake manifold carnage is the best yet. Fingers crossed on the engine and trans, didn't have time to test those.

Megan Racing Coilovers I think, might sell for more than bilsteins? Idk yet.

Broken wheel (how the **** do you sell a set of three wheels...)

Picures:

Hardtop tore clean off in the front? Wicked.
Don't be disappointed, you paid so little for this. Now if you had paid your max bid we'd be very disappointed. As is, you're in it less than the price of a 3.9 torsen swap.

Agreed, as I said, I'm not overly dissapointed, it was still a good deal, just not as good a deal as I originally thought it was. Send out your prayers for the engine and trans. I won't get to them for at least 2 weeks.

Oh man, I want so many bolts and little things off that motor...
Looks wicked, I hope the driver and any passengers came out of it OK. I pulled the interior and seats out of a junkyard Fox Mustang one time only to discover they were full of blood and there were chunks of scalp in the dash...

Airbags were both deployed and no sign of blood or anything else. I'm amazed. This thing hit a power pole going really damn fast to push the core support all the way into the motor.

I really hope this block is good, it will give me a good base to start my 1.8 build off of, and the busted intake manifold is just an excuse to upgrade to a VICS manifold.

Also, small bonus. Strut bar! Will soon be turned into a brake booster though.

Noticed some dripping gear oil on the cat under the shifter, not sure where it came from, a little scared though.

So far Oregon connection (curly) only has VTCS and square tops. I'll be at thunderhill in August, don't go selling it without letting me know.

I had 2 complete motors at one point so I should have one somewhere. I'll definitely let you know
What club are you running Thunderhill with in August? My car "should" be running by then.

They seem pretty solid. I believe they run the track portion of the Miatas @ MRLS event? I'll have to see what my schedule allows. Of course, Willows is not high on my list of "places to hang out in late summer." It kinda ranks right up there with the surface of the sun and Nevada. We'll see.
Now winter, that's another story. I'm kinda hoping to maybe be up at T-Hill the first weekend in December. Maybe.

My buddy brought an RV last year so that was nice. I ended up in a hammock and was absolutely destroyed by bugs. Tent only for me from now on. Now that I'm out of school thunderhill in december sounds really nice.

Speed sensor questions. I now have a 3.9 rear end ratio. Do I swap in the NB cluster and speed sensor and go full baller, or do I find a mechanical speed sensor. RX-7 speed sensor?

Yep, just 1 in the front. Not sure yet. Needs powder coating. Its at the top of the car list, but that list is pretty far below the school and house list right now lol.

Check out hummings build thread. He has some installed pics.
