Photobucket allows you to drag and drop your porn jpegs in the upload box, i find that way easier.

With DropBox, all pictures are automatically uploaded as I take them on my phone; then these pictures are synchronized across all of my active computers. It also is convenient since I can just right click on an image in a folder and copy a link to it into my clipboard buffer.

For my work-related stuff I have an encrypted .dmg that is synchronized between my computers through AeroFS. Distributed storage FTW!

You need more than 1 computer for your porn?

I'll probably regret it, but I'm actually going to do the same. Spare built engine needs to go in as well as the turbo setup and clutch. So I gotta pull engine anyway. Don't wanna drain the brand new fluid from the trans, or disconnect everything back there since this will be getting done on a lift. The engine getting swapped with a hydraulic crane (yes, that's right lol, not a cherry picker).

If he's doing it the same way, I don't see how it would be too much more trouble to get the engine in/out.

Still think its a bad idea?

my only real worry is aligning the two so the input shaft goes in quick. but there seems to be at least 6" of room to move the trans up/down/side-to-side. I dunno

Braineack Apr 3, 2013 10:44 AM

why would you have to drain the tranny?

this is a dumb move. dumb dumb move.

I don't think there is any reason to pull transmission out unless you really need to do something with it. It's really not that much more work to disconnect and later reconnect the transmission while it's in the car.

In my case it will be removed later so we can clean everything under the car and diff needs to come out as well for new bushings. But space is limited so we are doing one thing at a time.

Sometimes I enjoy surrounding myself with as many screens as possible so I can have all kinds of porn going on at the same time. Makes for a much richer experience.

If you happen to have a four-post lift in your garage, absolutely.

If you're one of us peons who have to make do with jackstands and a Harbor Freight hoist, it's a heck of a lot easier to pull the two as a unit.

Update: Out with VMaxx, in with AFCO's. Funny thing - AFCO's are from my white V8 car which was sold to the guy who I bought this NB from. Small world, eh?

Also, here is a picture of my short block.

UrbanSoot Apr 18, 2013 02:48 PM
