I think most of the people who hated in the beginning were do to his driving under a semi truck and having a pedo bear on the hood. Once he decided to actually do a legit build he got a lot of love and respect. Then he decided to go pedo bear again... I hope to see some updates on this car. It is an extremely nice build. Plus I wanted to see if he would ever actually hit his goals of a 9 second miata

Putting down power? It doesn't look like it would even make it quickly across the parking lot without melting the master cylinder reservoir, the oil feed line, and the number 4 coil, and then boiling the oil in the single brake line running right behind the source of immense heat. For what its worth, its already done both if im not mistaken. On super low boost it made like 330whp, and it ran 12s already in the 1/4. Hes been to the track more than hes been to car shows. As much shit as we give him, he did/ does legitimately drive the piss out of the car.

In my opinion his car is the literal representation of form and function. That's just my .02

In twenty years I have made hundreds of passes in my car and never broke a diff. My best nitrous passes were consistent low 1.7's with a best of 1.71. A few broken axles, but that was due to an incorrect ride height.

How much power was your car making?
What were the trap speeds on those runs?
There's a big difference between shock loading in lower gears vs just simply overwhelming the teeth/gear.

From what ive read from him in the past is that he is on slicks, and is good at launching.

Its been beat to death before, but you can kill a torsen at 220hp with wheel hop like I did. And they also hold up to 350+hp like lots of other people hafe found.

Oh yeah we beat this to death for sure, but I'm talking specifically about the 5sp with mechanical empathy (which assumes no hop) being simply overpowered (or overwhelmed with torque, whatever) and shaving off gears from that alone.
