If you can fit 245's I'd throw those on a 9. The Rt660s usually go on sale in March/April for ~$650 a set of 245/40/15.
Thanks for the tips. Unless I'm reading the ST/TT5 rules (class I want to eventually run), a 225 on a 9 will probably fill out the 226 template.

Machine work is done. Time to do some final garage clean up and build a motor soon.

Woo! Stoked to see it all come together. I somehow missed the above post, but most of the NA/NB (and even NC/ND's) that I've seen run TT5 out here are faster on the 225s anyways at the given power level. I'm curious if 225 RT660s on a 9 fit inside the NASA template though, with those tires running wide for a given size.

The max power bump in TT5 for 225 and under tires is pretty noteworthy. I'll likely drop from my 235s to 225s next year if I can get a concrete answer from the other NC guys on which 225s securely fit the template.

Yeah trying to maximize the power with weight/aero/225 tire.

Decided to toss in the aero to start. The 1.6 is still alive and I can drive it with this + the 15x9 and tba tires to start the season if my motor build isn't finished.

Looking good. I love the little flare out at the ends of the bumper to cover the front tires better. Should've done that with my NA.

That was an in process pic. I asked around and can't technically bump that that far due to the 5 degree rule. I'll end up with about an inch of the front tires exposed it looks like in these lower classes. Future classes allow tire splats so I'll redesign for those.

Ordered a 6psi wastgate actuator as well so I can try to get this car to a proposed 186 "average hp" trim for NASA. Also going to pick up a 6 speed transmission for the SCCA time trials where I can send it. Will be fun having a few maps
